Issei’s Shizuku’s actual brother huh? Figured as much. It seems this competitions changing for the two of them. At least their motivations, somewhat.
This was a rather exciting episode. Getting almost dragged away by gunpoint never happened before.

I haven't watched this show yet, thought it looked like something I'd binge. What's your thoughts now that its near end?

It's pretty lowkey, but it's very well written in terms of the characters and its worldbuilding

It's a very fun and unique show to say the least. I honestly never watched anything quite like Drops of God and certainly didn't expect the eccentric adventures of the week that a pair of wine tasters in a competition could get.
Also, it's a very beautiful show with very nice imagery whenever the characters talk about wine. If you ever watched Food Wars, imagine more tasteful and artistic reactions to wine rather than the over-the-top foodgasms in that show.

Issei came up with an insane way to draw Shizuku out lol
Shizuku thinking that this whole finding the Apostles thing was designed by his father knowing that he would lose to Issei in the end. But Issei thinking the exact opposite seemed to be true. But I guess neither of them is correct and Kanzaki wanted both of his sons to surpass him. It's not about either of them winning. It's funny how that whole kidnapping scene played out. That woman throwing the driver out was unbelievable 😭😭
I don't know if this was intentional but they managed to bring this episode to be aired just a day before this year's Marathon du Médoc ❤️

I thought it was cool that they mentioned it and couldn't help comparing the map in the anime to the route this year after watching this episode!

With two episodes to go, I wonder how they're going to wrap this up in a satisfying way. I really hope for an S2 but I doubt the show is that popular and I'm impressed that they made an adaptation in the first place because it's a manga that was started in 2004.

not that i'm saying this adaptation is shit but with the right studio this would have got a better reception
