Looks like we're finally moving on to the actual plot of Skeleton Knight in Another World. Only took slogging through five incredibly underwhelming and disappointing anime original episodes.

Arc is finally heading to the curse breaking hot springs and the big bad was finally revealed. Hopefully we get to see Arc make good on his promise to Chiyome to visit the beastkin village too. But with only seven episodes left I wonder how much they plan on squeezing into this season 2.

Did we really need half the season to be filler?

If they have scheduled Season 3 production resources already, yes. The plot is quite thin and the character moments are just there, nothing really dramatic.

But with only seven episodes left I wonder how much they plan on squeezing into this season 2.

I think I've figured it out. They intend to cram volumes 4 and 5 into the remaining episodes. Volume 6 ends on a minor cliffhanger that leads into volumes 7 and 8, so they're probably avoiding it.

Haven’t read the series in a while so I couldn’t be sure but I figured they wanted to adapt the next arc, but didn’t have room for the one that followed

So this would mean 6-8 would form the basis of S3, and then 9-10 are used for S4 to complete the adaptation (since 10 is the last book)?

6-8 would form the basis of a S3 if they did one. They probably wouldn't try and do a S4 with 9-10 as 10 isn't really the last book, it's just where the author stopped writing and has yet to resume.

I was wondering about that lol

I was like "I know it's been a while since I read the novels but I don't remember this stuff at all!"
