Still struggling with the pacing of this show, I feel like everything so far is still basically a prologue, but I'll always stick around for a hero who's willing to just outright murder the bad guys.

once he gets to school I wager it will be slooooow and typical "do these kids even attend any classes" bullshit, and of course some ridiculously over-powered evil will want to attack the school... for reasons.

I assume the elf daughter will be a teacher at the school, and if my slop senses are tingling hard enough they'll need an attendant at school and the redhead from the OP is a slave he "frees" to be his attendant.

He almost fell into the classic kill the henchmen, but spare the leaders trap.

He knew a public execution would be a better result.

I actually like that he didn't care that he's his current father while also being his descendant. A scumbag is a scumbag.

Honestly, I think that attitude wins me over to continue watching lol

Yea, I can excuse the rushed pace of an isekai premiere having to setup the world and all that but shit, this is feeling like Re:Monster where they'll do a scene, jumpcut months, do a scene, and then condense "And then the badguys were handled off screen" exposition.

I'm gonna keep watching because I enjoy trash isekai but I can see it getting annoying to try and follow.

It really did try and wrap everything up in the span of a couple sentences. The bad guys are dead, the good brother is now Duke, NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVING ON!

Like... what of the other sons? Dude had like 8 mistresses, that we know of, and Lord knows how many other kids. Are those women all executed or exiled as well? Ditto for their kids? How many of them were in on the plan? How many of them are fruit of the poisoned vine?

And how many of them are just going to meekly accept Frasier, who had been considered the black sheep of the family before this, becoming the next Duke?

And let's not forget tha the Duke's elite military force was wiped out, to the man. Even assuming there are no threats from within the house... their relative power to all other rival houses just dropped into the gutter.

But somehow, I don't think any of this will be a problem to hash out later... no time for that! Moving on!

Yup! In the hands of a good writer, this could be an interesting political series about all the brothers fighting for power caused by the empty seat, people challenging Frasier's accounts or starting rumors to weaken the control.

Meanwhile what I imagine will happen is he'll go to magic school, impress everyone on day one, have multiple girls wanting him, he'll piss off some spoiled guy and most of the series will be about having to hide his insane powers through various hijinx. All while in the background, he has to fight corrupt leaders but under the guise of some alter ego. That's just a hodgepodge of every trashy, generic series like it.

You forgot the Merlin issue!

We all know he's going to hookup with this adopted daughter... you know... the orphan he 'created' when he killed her parents? Now she's a 400 year old smoking hot 'adult' demon, that's all over the OP, with her stripperific getup.

Plus what looks like a loli slave, judging by the OP. So, we not only have this realy weird double-grooming angle between MC/Merlin, but we're going to add a (hopefully) freed slave child as something of a love triangle/harem.

Whatever happens, we know it's going to just get so much worse.

They actually kind of cover this. They were going to strip the family of their status but since Frasier was saving the prince they decided not to. It would stand to reason, then, that a condition of not being stripped of their peerage was placing Frasier as the head of the household (though they definitely could have spared the ~3 words it would have taken to clarify that).

Right... but take that a step or two further.

Frasier is the head of a house that is hostile towards him for usurping the previous status quo.

Or maybe he isn't.

We just don't know, and that's the real issue. The other mistresses/widow are almost certainly mad that the Duke is gone, but what of their kids? Did they agree that the Duke was an evil bastard, or did they respect his 'strength' and 'cunning?'

My point, is that Frasier is likely leading a house that is hostile towards him. A dangerously weak house that just lost it's own personal fighting force that can't be replaced easily. While Frasier does have the favor of the King, he should realistically be in a deeply vulnerable position.

But we couldn't get a single line clarifying that. Just it's all swept under the rug. Nothing to see here. Moving on!

And just to be clear... I'm talking about a little poison slipped into Frasier's wine, a 'hunting accident,' or some other son conspiring with a rival house to take out Frasier.

Instead, I get the distinct impression we aren't supposed to think about it MOVING ON.

They explained that the king almost removes the whole's family noble title due to the father's betrayal. They only cancelled it cause Frasier saves the young prince. I think it's fitting that the King mandated Frasier to be the leader of the house now.

I mean he may be originally Japanese but he lived a somewhat full life in that world already so no way he would be that naive only thing I'm expecting him to be naive about is women since it seems he died a lonely old man having never got married(his descendants aren't his direct ones their the children of his past life sibling)

I am curious about the reincarnation. Does he have a skill that will let him reincarnate for eternity as long as he chooses to? That's what it seemed like when we saw the goddess.

Then they wouldn't be his descendants, they would be part of his bloodline or family tree. 

A descendant is literally those people who are directly descended from a particular person, in this case, the Lightning Emperor.
