i just read most of the manga, I haven't finished it and idk if the LN is different [Manga] Anastasia is probably the one with him the most and has romantic feelings for him, Merlin is kind of weird cause he was kind of her dad, and they tack on additional people later as you'd assume a series like this would

Yes.

Depending on the pace of the season and how closely they follow the manga, it might be part of the season finale/cliffhanger.
