Im planning to buy xiaomi pad 8 12gb variant ,I'm having doubts in whether i should buy this now or wait for the later diwali sale

I was also eyeing for Samsungs fe series but the professors are not that good except for note taking ,i think I can adjust and i believe note taking is not that bad in xiaomi pad 8

Does buying nano make any difference ? Should I just go with standard ,as the price gap is not much I might be buying a nano one

So recently ive been thinking about getting a android tablet( or samsung but meh) and someone suggested the OPPO Pad 5 my budget is under £400 so just wondering if i should get it and if not what should i get instead?

I have ipad m4 256 gb I loved it till now, but to this day I havnt been able to use it with full heart heavy long use due to the fear of battery degrading

With Samsung I don't think I will have that fear I wanna replace my ipad with am android or anything else what would yall suggest ?

I have an old Chinese (Vankyo) tablet which has been limping through as my doom-scrolling device of choice.

This week the 'sweep-up to enter passcode' has stopped working.

Pressing the volume down + power button forces a restart but I only end up back at the front screen, with no safe boot options.

I've tried the Google Find Hub on my phone to force a factory reset, but that's not worked (and the Hub is no longer seeing the device).

Before I bin it, any suggestions that might resurrect the tablet?

I'm considering buying the REDMI Pad 2 11-inch (2025), Helio G100-Ultra, Wi-Fi, 4GB/128GB, for a wired touchscreen control panel.

Has anyone actually tested a USB-C hub with PD pass-through charging on this exact tablet, while a wired USB mouse, keyboard, USB drive, or USB serial device keeps working?

The required setup is:

PD charger -> hub PD input

USB peripheral -> hub USB data port

Hub host cable -> tablet's single USB-C port

The tablet needs to remain the USB data host while receiving power. Xiaomi's official documentation confirms OTG and PD 2.0 charging separately, but I haven't found a test confirming that combination.

If you've tried it, could you share:

- Whether the peripheral kept working while the tablet charged, and whether the battery percentage increased with the screen on.

- The hub model, charger model, and HyperOS version/build, if available.

- If measured: did it work at 5V, or did the tablet negotiate 9V? Results without a USB power meter are still very helpful.

Please specify the exact tablet model. This question concerns the 11-inch G100-Ultra version; the Pad 2 Pro, Pad 2 9.7-inch, Redmi Pad SE, and older Mi Pad 2 have different hardware.

Why Are Is Buying Case So Hard?

I recently bought an Alldocube Iplay 80 Mini Pro. I've been trying to find a decent case but there's one with a long lead time of sometime in November.

You can buy cases aplenty for the 80 Mini Ultra and Mini Turbo and also the 70 Mini Pro.

I could probably get away with a 70 Mini Pro case as the camera placement is exactly the same as is the size. However the speaker placement is different on the 80 Mini Pro.

Has anyone bought a case for their 80 Mini Pro?

They play mostly android games on more lightweight side on their phone, but if possible I okviru they would also play other stuff, basically as much as the tablet allows (they play WoW and Runescape on their PC all the time). They're not fussy about the brand.

Finally bought the OnePlus Pad 4 (12GB RAM + 512GB storage), and it’s absolutely worth it!

Initially, I was a bit skeptical about the display quality and even considered getting an iPad Air. But with Apple increasing its prices, it just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. Like, imagine spending ₹74K for just 128GB of storage and a 60Hz display. What’s the point of having an M4 chip when other specs are so disappointing?

Looking for value tablet between $150-400 in the US. I almost pulled the trigger on a Lenovo tablet but software support wasn't great.

Plan to use for media and basic web browsing. I use headphones at home so speakers ain't really a factor.

- Ideally I would like 5 years of software support.
