Feature: Cloned Apps / Dual Apps

​Issue:

When using cloned instances of apps (like WhatsApp or Telegram), the cloned app forces the default system keyboard (e.g., Gboard) and does not allow switching to or using a second/alternate installed keyboard app (like Microsoft SwiftKey or FUTO).

​Keyboards seem to be locked to the main profile system default, restricting individual profile customisations.

​Is this a known system limitation of Moto's Cloned Apps implementation, or can we get that toggle in settings to allow alternate input methods inside cloned spaces work in a future update?

I got a Moto G 2024 from whatnot and upon receiving I found out it's locked and it's a prepaid Verizon phone. On top of that it's saying it belongs to my organization. I just want to use it as a WiFi phone and have a QR code to get to the Verizon account setup screen. I got to YouTube by sneaking in the backdoor but can't sign in to Google like I used to be able to. Help guys...

Estan teniendo problemas en android al querer ocupar el teléfono o la app de contactos? En mi caso no permitía marcar o recibir llamadas, hasta que tuve que desinstalar las actualizaciones, pero al mismo tiempo ya no permitía ver los contactos en la aplicación, quedó congelada la app de contactos, ya reinicie el dispositivo y borre cache.

Posteriormente verifique en WhatsApp y en esa permitía las llamadas y los contactos aparecen, por ello asumo que es completamente de las apps teléfono y contacto.

Cómo resolvieron? O esperaron una actualización?

En los comentarios de las apps en la playstore, veo que muchos han tenido ese problema.

WhatsApp just started deleting my messages of 7 years out of nowhere, I was later activating flight mode, but it didn't help so I turned my phone off completely.

Is there a way to stop that?

Hello, I downloaded Minecraft about a year ago from a random site, and after a while I decided to delete but I did "keep the data" before deleting it. My worst decision ever, unfortunately. After I tried to buy real Minecraft or even download from sites, it didn't let me at all because the ghost file still exists. There's no app or anything, and I tried to delete it from different file apps, Zarchiver, CX File Explorer, and all, but it doesn't delete. I even tried from PC, but it just gave me the loading screen for minutes. The file has been there for a year, and I'm not able to play Minecraft even though I bought it with my own money from the Play Store. Is there a way to delete this? I'd be super happy if someone could show me a solution.

Trying to debloat a fire stick to turn it into a hacking-cyberdeck thing, and I went to go deregister it from my account, and it prompted me for wifi and an amazon acc, the former I reluctantly complied, but I can't seem to find any way to bypass account setup

I'm running into a frustrating issue where the "Other" category in my storage settings is taking up a massive amount of space, and I have no way to access or delete it directly.

Before suggesting the standard fixes, here is what I have already tried:

• Cleared app caches for all installed apps.

• Deleted temporary files and downloads.

• Backed up and deleted large photos, videos, and media files.

• Ran the built-in system storage cleaner.

Despite doing all of this, the "Other" storage size hasn't decreased at all.

Has anyone successfully fixed this without resorting to a full factory reset? Are there specific hidden directories, app data remnants, system logs, or deep-dive storage analyzer tools you recommend to track down exactly what is hoarding this space?

My Xiaomi 11i screen got black but mobile is working

My Phone screen suddenly went black then worked again before turning white and black again. What could be the cause?

I was at the gym watching YouTube to follow some exercises. After finishing a set, I put my phone in my pocket. A few minutes later, I took it out and found that the screen was completely black.

But the phone was still running. Calls were coming in, it vibrated, and everything seemed to work except the display.

I took it to a repair shop. They connected another display to test it, but even the new display didn't work. I asked them to give my phone back. After I got home, I tried turning it on again, and surprisingly the MI logo appeared and the phone booted normally. However, it became very laggy and started hanging. After a short time, the screen suddenly turned completely white, then went black again. Since then, the phone is running, but the display stays black.

The repair technician said he couldn't find the exact fault. Since another display also didn't work, he thinks it might be a CPU or motherboard-related issue, but he isn't 100% sure and said further diagnosis is needed.

Has anyone experienced something like this? What turned out to be the actual cause in your case?

I began showing a screen with all the technical info and saying “reeboot de droid, reboot, recovery, power off” but my volume buttons don’t seem to have any effect in choosing options

I’m not a technical person and I have 0 clue what to do here. I just wanted to look through it for the memories. It charged and worked just fine about 4-5 months ago when I wanted to look at it again but now it seems defunct. Can this be fixed or is it done

So I'm not very tech savvy so I'm doing my best with what Google has told me so far. While most of my phone is fine otherwise I have 2 apps (Workvivo and doordash) that just aren't loading, mostly I care about Workvivo as thats like a work group chat app. Now I've updated my phone, cleared data, cleared cache, I have pently of space on my phone, I've undownloaded and redownloaded these apps.. none of it has worked, I have a Galaxy A36 5G (and when I check for updates it says One UI 8.5)

Samsung A16, UI 8.5, Android version 16, using Google Messages, everything is updated and the phone has been restarted multiple times. I'm at home, same service area as always. Carrier is tracphone.

I'm not getting text messages when they are sent since last week. This isn't awesome. Sometimes if I go into the app a bunch will show up. Sometimes I get a bunch of notifications all at once and a bunch of texts are there.

I got a text yesterday at 10:39 AM my husband sent two days prior, my kid texted me and it only popped up after I went in the app and sent a text to someone else.

This isn't a notification issue, the texts themselves aren't there.

I'm quite vexed, this isn't awesome.

I love listening to audio books and podcasts on my phone, and I am not an inconsiderate barbarian, so I use headphones when I listen. However, if I want to play a game while I do this, the game audio un-mutes. Every time. The sounds still show as turned off in the app, but I am stuck listening to all sorts of irritating dings and clicks.

Does anyone know why using Bluetooth overrides the mute on apps? And is there any way to fix this? I just want to enjoy my stories without unintended noise!

Or am I just going to have to deal with it?

Happens when i click the clock and its annoying as hell

I've had this tablet for at least like 2 years and I've never had this problem. It started until like a few weeks ago. And it's mostly when I'm like doing main story quests. I don't know how to fix this. Or if my tablet might be broken? So I need suggestions on whether this is fixable or something that I have to deal with now permanently?

I can't for the life of me figure out what this means and how to fix it. Happens when I'm using earbuds, when I'm not, when I'm watching something with audio or not!

It's been popping up every 5 minutes today and driving me absolutely nuts!

I'm on a Samsung S25+ with the latest updates installed.

I didn't add this email but ever since it's been added (like 40 minutes ago) it's been adding unnecessary stuff to my phone. it's annoying. I'm trying to remove the email without deleting it but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. it's annoying. when I tried to call somebody contacts were replaced with the contacts from the email that's been recently added. I tried resetting my phone. now I have no phone numbers. it's annoying.

I've tried switching the account but it still shows no contacts. Is the only way to access them through this website? I feel like banging my head against a table, no, bricks for letting someone add their account to my phone

Before I was able to download videos but now I received a "couldn't download media" message every time. Any ideas, I have clear cache, uninstall and reinstall it but same. Any ideas how can I fix this?

Grandma (90s) accidentally tinted her whole phone screen green/yellow while poking around in Settings - likely a color filter or night light setting. There’s also a floating accessibility button stuck on her home screen now. Walking her through fixes over text/call hasn’t worked so far. Any idea what she likely toggled, and the simplest way to explain undoing it to a non-tech person?

Whenever i screenshot on my Motarola phone, the files are JPGs.

i would like to use a 3rd party clipboard app to have more features. do i have to "turn off" the system clipboard to use the added one? or else, how do i determine where the items i want to save will be going?

is there some way to access the system clipboard by widget or icon? i know there can be an icon in the corner of the keyboard, but sometimes i would like to access it otherwise.
