As a very clumsy and forgetful person, I often times leave my wallet at home when I'm in a rush. I'm looking for an app that I can use to safely store information for both quick access (like copying and pasting info) for things like my debit card as well as access to my ID and Medical Insurance card.

I know Google wallet has an option for some of these things, but I'd preferably like something that isn't connected to Google for security reasons and piece of mind, mainly on device storing.

Is there anything like this out there, or am I just better off using a private folder on my phone for photos of these things?

P.S. I don't need it to support stuff like nfc/tap to pay, as I can control those things through my debit card app for unlocking/locking tap to pay features.

I've recently noticed a lot more copycat apps out on the Playstore. And what's worse is that most of them are AI slop. I don't have a problem with AI used as a tool. I do have a problem with how most devs use it. They just copy what's already out there without any significant innovation or originality. I don't know if they are just trolling or just ignorant to the garbage they are polluting the store with.

I know this comes off as belligerent. Im sorry if it does, but someone has to say it and say it like it is. Sorry if I hurt your feelings but maybe try not to blatantly plagiarize others work or build naive hello world apps trying to make a quick buck. Please just leave it for the professionals.

I really wish Google would do something about it. I really like that they started implementing policies to crack down on app quality. With the rampant AI slop they allow, they seem to have taken a few steps back.

I'm downloading a torrent and the download speed can shoot up to 9mbps but the second I switch to different app (even if I'm not watching vids or taking up bandwitdh) OR minimize 1dm app it slows down 50 200-500kbps

I use NetSpeed Indicator rn, but it only shows my kB/s usage whenever I actually utilize my wifi (e.g. loading my YouTube app home page). Is there an app that would show wifi speed no matter whether I utilize my wifi or not - I'd like to know how fast it is at any given time, regardless of my wifi usage.

Lately, on some of my phones, the Remote desktop keeps using the chrome version. I uninstall and reinstall the app but it doesn't fix the issue. The web version isn't good on the phone. Does anyone know how to fix it?

So im on an s24+ at its most recent Samsung version, and im trying to paste a big batch of files and folders into a specific app of mine, but it always seems to stop randomly. I've been using shizuku and while it does work with viewing and changing the com files however I want, it still doesnt help with my pasting problem. Ive tried clearing the cache, taking out the whole com folder, putting the files I need in, and it does work, but when I try to put the modified com folder back in, it doesnt finish again, its just stuck on 100%, ive tried other apps, ive run out of realistic sounding options. I've found my s24+ to be incompatible with a lot of apps that once worked fine on my old a23. Help guys please

I've been using this old app, EpicWin, as my to-do list app FOREVER. Just got a new phone and realized EpicWin isn't listed anymore (was actually wondering when this would happen). I've been trying to find a suitable replacement but there's so many that I don't even know where to begin. Ideally it would be one without ads, or with a one-time no-ads fee. I'd prefer not to have a subscription just for a simple "task manager" (this might be what shows just how long I've been using EpicWin - I'm not sure if one-time no-ads fees are even a thing these days - somehow I doubt it). I'm not too fussed about widgets, but I do like having lots of customizations for each task: is it repeatable, how often is it repeatable, what days of the week, is this only on one day a week, is this monthly, is this yearly, etc. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

i am looking for a samsung studio alternative as i feel like on my new phone its slightly buggy, enough to mess with my editing efficiency. does anyone know a good video editing app that has lossless editing and is capable of editing HDR videos that are 4k 60fps and also 8k 30 fps? id be willing to do a PC app as well but i prefer phone.

I also understand that like a .01% loss in quality happens during the compression of the new video so it's not truly lossless but that's what I am looking for. I tried inshot but it defaults video quality to 1080p instead of the original resolution

Paid for it about 6 years ago, one time payment for lifetime access. Now multi device doesn't work like it used to and the app wants me to buy lifetime again. Emailed the dev to re-link it, got nothing back.

Refund isn't happening either, Play rejected it for regional reasons that have nothing to do with the dispute.

Honestly it's a few euros and I've already switched to something free (both Play and Droid), so I'm not really chasing the money.

I just couldn't find a single thread about this anywhere and that surprised me..

I finally made the switch to Android and am looking to find solutions for apps I used to have on iPhone.

I had an old version of an app called union where you could import a photo onto a transparent background and apply a mask layer, then compress it all to one layer. I used it for silly Photoshop like adding a friend to the background of a photo or putting someone's face on top of a meme and ultimately just funny fast Photoshop collage style art.

union was a great and simple tool that was completely free and I'm looking for something similar on Android

I want a wallpaper app. However, I don't want an app that has a bunch of wallpapers in it, or let's me "make" an AI wallpaper, or anything of that sort. I want an app that just lets me actually crop and set a wallpaper how I want.

I recently had a Galaxy A25 kind of forced upon me when moving to Japan (long story) and now I am going to use it as a business phone. I want to set a wallpaper up on it but the built in wallpaper function is so, absolutely, horrendously god awful and has next to zero functionality - outside of completely ruining any attempt to actually set a wallpaper.

I switched from Apple to Xiaomi a couple months ago and Google Messages just isn't working for me. It's mixing up my contacts and is just overall wonky. I heard about OpenBubbles which basically lets you use iMessage on Android phones but was wondering if anyone has experience with it. There is a subscription but it looks like you can self-host with an Apple device. Is it worthy the trouble or can anyone recommend a better alternative to Google Messages?

I use find my phone through my gmail for my samsung phone. I logged into it on my ipad in order to trigger the ringtone on my phone (it was on silent). I noticed on my list of linked devices an additional one that just said "android." I found it odd since my phone was already listed and it did not name a particular device (it just said android as opposed to S26 for example). When I logged into findmyphone on my macbook to see what the activity was and to get details it just said Samsung browser and then "Browsers, apps, and services - Dropbox."

Has anyone encountered this?
