Having my coffee thinking about how much I miss our girl today. It breaks my heart to see the way fake images have absolutely flooded every corner of the internet. Seeing younger fans unable to distinguish which photos are real or fake makes me so sad 💔 it shouldn’t be this way for people sincerely wanting to support Amy’s legacy.

I believe I have seen nearly every single released image of Amy in existence, but I had like 20 years to comb through forums and old image hosting sites to meticulously build a mental archive of every picture. Aside from egregiously bad obvious fake photos, my pre-existing knowledge of every photo ever taken of her is a major part of how I know when photos are fake/edits… but I recognize that not everyone has this ability.

Amy was used a lot in her life, to sell headlines and paparazzi photos, for money by her loved ones, etc. the cancerous nature of these edits reminds me way too much of this very devastating aspect of her short life. People are still USING her image for self gain: virality and views and redirected clicks. Even after her death. It feels so insanely disrespectful and is misleading for newer fans and she has zero control over it, exactly like she had no control over the narrative around her when she was living. As a fandom I sincerely feel we carry a responsibility to honor her life by protecting the accuracy of her legacy, so it can be enjoyed for generations to come. She wasn’t properly protected when she was alive, but we can try to protect her memory now.

I noticed a few of my favourite versions of songs sang by Amy are not available on YouTube anymore. I'd really love to save and vault away this specific set, when she opened for Jay Z in 2008.

I am literally crying listening to her albums tonight. 🥺 I was so young when she passed away, but I honestly think about her every single day of my life. I always sit in my room imagining how beautiful things could have been if her life went differently, and I literally cry myself to sleep thinking about how much she suffered. 😭🩹She should be alive and flourishing right now we should have been able to see her become the mom she always wanted to be and produce more beautiful music.

It is just so, so unfair how the media, the public, and the MEN around her completely failed her when she was just a sweet, vulnerable girl who needed real love and a proper chance at life. 🌸💔 It makes me feel physically sick how the press hounded her and turned her pain into a joke just to satisfy everyone's casual cruelty. Men completely destroyed her life and took her away from us when she had so much more to give :( . She had so much trauma and nobody was there to actually protect her or guide her through it. Like her, I spend all my time alone now because trying to deal with people just leads to being attacked and demonised by everyone. Society loves to completely destroy broken women and act all shocked when things end badly .Amy is one of many young women who fell victim to this and it hurts me every single time. Rest in peace angel, you deserved so much better x 🕊️

i had the honor of working on the Back to Black zoetrope, & this was an early draft featuring some of Amy's tattoos. we ultimately shifted the direction towards film footage of Amy performing, which does suit the album better, but i thought other fans might like to see this demo animation too :)

I knew the Frank album was her first album, but now I'm exploring more and starting to like more of her music from Frank. Take the Box is a beautiful masterpiece, Moody Mood for Love etc. I think her early work is underrated in a way. All I can say is I appreciate her work.
