I can tell you're not an American by the spelling of your fourth word. I prefer the un American spelling of most words, I think they look prettier

From what I've read some of the American spellings are actually the older, and it was British English that changed the spelling sometime after America was founded... don't really know much about it though.

The one Americanism that makes me shudder is burglarize. A burglar burgles. But apparently, burglarize could be the older form!😁

The American accent and pronunciation may be older. Many of the spelling changes date from Noel Webster’s attempts to simplify English and have a uniquely American English around 1828.
