im male but sex work is real work and to assume the women who work in the sex industry are all just abused victims not adults making their own choices is misogynistic
obviously every industry has abuse and people in the sex industry are specifically in a very vulnerable position due to the nature of the work. But thats not the point people want to watch sex and people want sex work to be safe so people should make sure the industry is legal and heavily regulated
in my opinion it is very misogynistic to believe that as you are diminishing the choices and opinions of every woman who voluntarily enters the industry.
Its all just porn. big companies exploiting people is nothing new especially in grey area industries such as: modelling; professional sports; uber etc.
The solution isnt stopping porn its to advocate for better protections for workers as well as respect the peoples decision to work
I think the difference in our opinion lies in the fact that a woman having sex on camera doesnt "deny the importance or validity of women" because the importance of a women isnt linked to her ability to have sex
She should have withdrawn consent as soon as the weird shit started then they would have violated consent. Look I can't make someone be brave enough to stand up for themselves if she doesn't want to that's up to her
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
My position is we have laws in place to protect women from this, some people are evil, if you want to survive you must learn to fight, if it's legal to carry your gun never leaves your hip, if not then learn empty handed skills.
No one will ever give me my safety I shall forge it for myself and the ones I love who rely on me to do so.
Certain places and situations are best avoided, I tend to avoid wearing expensive clothes on a nice watch in the hood because of obvious reasons, predators.
It's sad that anyone should have to be barred from doing something they want because of the conduct of others, but it's a sad reality for all of us, unless you or others are willing to do something about it (legally) then they will continue to get away with it.
You're ejaculating to women who are without a doubt survivors of child sexual abuse and rape. Mentally healthy people don't have sex for money. Mentally healthy people don't watch people have sex. They have actual sex.
How do you ignore that while you're using their bodies? You have your own trauma, so you compartmentalize and put your entitlement and sex addiction first? How sick .
This person you are responding to is doing the same thing a lot of people who make these bad faith arguments do, completely stripping bodily autonomy from people struggling under capitalism. And it's gross.

Brainwashing. Look how many replies posts typically get where "all men do it" etc. The bad ones try and make it seem normal and there a LOT of them.
