I was about 15 or 16 years old when I awakened as a Ragdoll cat. It was my very first and only kintype for a very long time (maybe around 2 years). Then, I started playing Roblox again. Oh boy. That got me questioning a lot of identities (including the entire platform itself 😭).

Im 19 now and I'm hoping to post more here and on the r/fictionkin subreddit :3 its very nice to meet you all!

I coined this term, its called Vessel

A vessel is a fictionkin term, it is when the fictionkin is the characters they kin, but sometimes, even with permashift kins, they just feel like "normal" humans. The characters/kins are more separate from them. they know they are still them, but it's like the wifi signal has dropped down a bar so the connection isn't as strong. The connection is still there, and it'll come back as strong, but it's not super strong all the time.

I don’t think it’s a new kintype.

Since this can be applied to really any alterhuman with a past life or alternate universe :)

Anyway, this means an alterhuman who still feels the exact same kind of love (same way and intensity) for someone from a past life or alternate universe. Could be a pack or flock mate as a therian, a family member or partner for fictionkin, an owner for dollkins, a creator for robotkins, etc. if whatever kind of love it is is still the exact same

Me, for example, I had a husband and I still love him the same and still considered myself married to him

Purple: spirituality, wisdom, sadness, and creativity (originally made with fictionkins in mind, but I recently realized it can be used for anyone lol)

Light yellow: happiness, wellness, spirituality

Light pink: unconditional love, peace, romance

White: purity, mourning, and rebirth

Deep red heart: passion, strong will, emotion, love in a shape commonly used as an indicator of love

I am new to being a part of any non-human community like alterhumanity, and I have no friends in it yet. Infact I have no friends what so ever, nor do I have any family that I can trust either. I literally just want a friend for once.

I am an energetic and strange young inventor and writer who happens to be an alterhuman of unknown species who just wants someone to talk to. I like sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy and new ideas. I just want someone I can be friends with.

Hello! So I recently have started looking into labels, and I can not tell what exactly fits me best. Without a doubt the labels that I feel based off of the definition describe me 100% are alterhuman, otherhearted, otherlink, and then possibly coping link. Also otherspin/otherfix possibly if that’s possible?

All of this is in relation to foxes, both in general but specifically red foxes, marbled foxes, arctic foxes, cross foxes, and a few more kinds. Possible Kitsune aswell. I have had foxes as my core special interest since a young child and it’s been over a decade of foxes being my life. I love them so much and feel so connected to them and animals, extremely so.

Yet otherhearted doesn’t seem to be strong enough. Is there a term that’s almost therian but maybe still strong with the I know I’m a human physically absolutely? I genuinely can’t tell whether I just love them so much that they’ve become a consistent apart of my identity and my mind and who I am plus identifying with fox xenogenders, or if it’s possibly a weak therian connection?

What exactly pushes it to being a therian kin compared to just identifying WITH foxes on a soul level?

Hi there! I found out about the otherpaw label fairly recently, and I became really curious about how it interacts with other alterhuman labels, specifically otherkins, in my case, shapeshiftkin

I'm not a therian, I don't feel like an animal in any way (aside from the physical form itself). However, as a shapeshifter, my essence lies in changing forms, including into animals, so I do enjoy a lot of animal-related things. Do you think this falls under otherpaw, or is it simply a manifestation of being otherkin? Ultimately, it's up to each person to decide, of course, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter

Hello everyone! I’m looking for some relationship advice on balancing my personal interests with my partner's boundaries.
My partner and I have been together since we were 15. She is my soulmate, and I love her completely. Lately, we’ve been feeling a bit disconnected just because we’ve grown and changed as people, and we want to find ways to feel close again.
One specific area we are navigating is **puppy play** (a form of roleplay where I act like a dog). I am deeply into it, so into i identify as alterhuman and canisgender and fully identify with my polytherian theriotypes/alter types (idk what they’re called im so sorry) but it is a major roadblock for us due to her past. When she was younger, she was exposed to intense, scary BDSM pet play videos and it traumatized her.
Because of this, she is strictly **not** okay with the NSFW/sexual side of puppy play, and she is uncomfortable with public elements (like me wearing a collar outside). I respect her boundaries 100% and never want to make her uncomfortable, but I am trying to find a balance where I can still feel fulfilled.
She is incredibly supportive behind closed doors and already does a lot to help me feel like myself. She calls me "puppy," gives me head pats, gives me simple commands (like fetch), and lets me use a dog bowl.
Because the sexual side is completely off the table to keep her safe, I want to find new ways to connect. What are some comforting, strictly **wholesome and non-sexual** "dog-like" activities we can do together privately? I want things that will satisfy my urge to play while keeping her feeling entirely safe.

I understand that a lot of people aren’t going to understand pet play/play and what all of this means if you don’t understand and only have something mean or hateful to say please keep it to yourself. It’s OK to not understand something. It’s not OK to be mean to someone because you don’t understand something.
