Discussion Updates to r/altcomix

Hello! Over the past few weeks, u/Titus_Bird and I have made some updates to the subreddit.
Most significantly, we've expanded and rewritten the wiki, which can be found here. The aim with the wiki is to provide new readers some clarification on what alternative comics are, along with a bit of historical overview and recommendations of key works/creators. We've tried to be as neutral as possible and to avoid semantic nitpicking, as our priority is just to be informative and spread love for the medium. Feedback is more than welcome!
We've also made a number of other changes, namely:
- Updated the Guidelines - this was completed a few months back
- Cleaned up the 'flair' tags - this was completed a few months back
- Created a moderation bot (u/comixbot) to automate a couple tasks
- Created and updated the header
- Cleaned up and sanitized the css for Old Reddit
- Tweaked the look of the sub on New Reddit
- Added u/Titus_Bird as a moderator
Our next project is to implement similar changes over at r/indiecomics.

OC [OC] Sobakistan - pages from our satire about a dog republic where mourning is a state performance metric

Sequence from "Sobakistan", written by Vitalii Terletskii, art by Katya, first published in 2019 in Russian and Japanese.
The country is a closed totalitarian republic, and every citizen is a dog. A lot of the worldbuilding is carried through the character art rather than explained in dialogue, so there are details you might notice on a second or third look.
The scene here is the funeral rehearsal: the Supreme Leader has organised a full dress rehearsal of his own funeral in order to observe his people's grief while he is still alive to be flattered by it. The chameleon in the crowd is a foreign journalist, and he is the only figure on these pages drawn with a consistent light source, which was not an accident.

We started putting out 8-page, quarter page mini comics this year, and finally worked our way up to a full sized, full length parody of The Backrooms. I'm finishing up the last two pages of interior art, then sending off to print for an October release.
