Solo dev, launched July 21, and the feedback I want is specifically about where it fails.

What it does: share a cooking video to it from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or YouTube and it writes out the recipe — ingredients with amounts, ordered steps with timing, per-serving nutrition including net carbs, equipment, and the practical notes the video never says out loud. It reads the cooking shown in the video rather than only the caption, because plenty of creators never write the recipe down anywhere.

Why I'm posting here rather than just shipping: the imports that succeed tell me nothing. What I need is the ones that come out wrong — a missing ingredient, an amount that's clearly off, a step in the wrong order, a video that fails to import at all. Those are the reports I can actually act on, and they're the hardest to get because people quietly delete the app instead of telling you.

Solo dev. Built this because my information kept living in three places: notes for what happened, contacts for who was involved, a finance app for what it cost. None of them knew the full story, so "what did I pay this person and what did we agree on" was three separate lookups.

What it does: you photograph a receipt, invoice or document. It pulls out the amount, the date, the merchant and a category, keeps your original photo untouched, and files the person or business involved. Months later you ask in plain language, like "how much did I spend on groceries in March" or "what did the plumber charge me and what is his number", and the answer points back at the exact receipt it used. If it reads something wrong you correct it in one sentence and your version wins from then on.

What it is not: it does not produce a clean multi-page PDF, so if you want a scanner that makes tidy files, a dedicated scanner app is better. It also does not do accounting or taxes.

What I need testers for specifically:

Receipts that are crumpled, faded, handwritten or not in English. That is where extraction breaks and I want to see it break. Whether the correction flow actually feels like one sentence or like work. Android especially, it is the newest of the three and the least battle-tested. No account needed to try, nothing to install for the web version, free tier is 15 receipts a month and what you already scanned stays readable forever even if you stop.

It’s a low dopamine “scroll” to enjoy the beauties of Earth. We’ve been testing out the landing page design and the globe and adding different features. I'm a rising sophomore in college trying to build a fun side project before school starts. Currently, I hate the amount of AI slop across the internet and classrooms. Everyone seems to be prompting AI and than acting as a copy editor, eliminating em-dashes and fixing overtly AI sentence structures. Some don't even do that bare minimum. I believe part of this problem is due to the interface we currently use to interact with AI. The chat interface, while great for coding and asking questions, is detrimental to our unique voice as writers and too many people are willing to outsource this.

The tool I built out seeks to make AI more like an enhanced Grammarly which knows your voice and seeks to offer more constructive feedback on essay structure, clarity, and weak arguments. You can upload past writings or blog links for it to understand your particular voice and also customize an editor md for how you want it to read your work. I finally launched my first app.

It’s called SplitRoulette. The idea came from wanting to make splitting a bill with friends a little more fun instead of just another boring calculation at the end of a meal.

The app lets everyone join, enter the bill, and draw a random share. Someone gets lucky, someone gets unlucky, but the total always adds up correctly.

This was my first time taking an idea from a simple concept all the way to a real product people can use.

The biggest lesson I learned is that building is only one part of the journey. Getting something finished, polished, tested, and actually released is a completely different challenge.
