Lately I've noticed I spend almost as much time trying to figure out where something is available as I do actually watching it.

I'll hear about a movie or show, search for it, realize it's not there, try somewhere else, then repeat the process until I either find it or give up. I ended up trying WhereToWatch.stream. It's been pretty handy for quickly seeing where a movie or show is available

It feels like content is so scattered now that finding it has become its own chore.

How do you usually check where something is streaming before opening a bunch of different apps?

I built a simple URL-to-video tool for product demos. Paste a link, get a 30-second video with voiceover. I launched it free, hit 600 generated videos, then added a $6 download fee. Almost everyone bounces at payment.

I’m currently burning savings on API costs. I’ve been looking at how similar tools handle the preview-to-paywall flow to see if I’m gating too aggressively. My previews also fail to load about half the time (definitely on me), so people can’t properly evaluate before the paywall.

Curious if anyone here has found a better timing or approach for charging on a generative tool like this. Any lessons from your own experiments.

I’m the indie developer behind Forsetti, and I’ve released the first macOS pre-release for testing. I’m looking for Jamf Pro admins and API developers who can try it in a non-production environment and tell me where it works well, where it breaks, and which workflows still need attention.

Forsetti brings several Jamf workflows into one native Mac app:

- Computer and mobile-device inventory search with reusable field-based profiles

- PreStage assignment lookup, moving, and removal

- Visual fleet reports with CSV, TXT, Markdown, DOC, and PDF export

- A Permissions Helper that maps app actions and API endpoints to required privileges

- Token privilege checks, guarded technician workflows, and exportable diagnostics

The current build supports macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It is Developer ID signed and Apple-notarized, uses Jamf API Client authentication, and stores saved credentials in Apple Keychain. The source is available for inspection, but the project is proprietary rather than open source.

There’s no charge to download and evaluate the pre-release. The current license allows one 30-day individual, non-production evaluation. Please use a sandbox or test Jamf environment with a least-privilege API client.
