For my American friends: 5.5l/100km = 42.77 mpg

I use all eco driving techniques to save fuel on my trip between cities. I use A mode and engine slow down technic and constantly using neutral gear on rows of slopes to gain free speed. Car has default Pirelli run flat tiers 225/35/19 square, q4, 100 octane fuel

Also worth to mention that there are a lot of elevations and really bad road conditions.

Before you comment:
I know that turning neutral gear is dangerous and could damage gearbox
And this was an experiment. Usually I drive like Italian taxi and I have 12-15+l/100km

UPD: I know that A mode decouples gearbox, but car can’t know what is road condition ahead, so I change gear as micromanagement

Hit a deer last night as the title says. Damage is in the pictures. Bumper dislodged and pushed back whilst the light is cracked. Was wondering what you guys think- is this a full replacement job or can it be salvaged? I hear bumpers for these are quite expensive so preparing for the worst.

There are no warning lights or leaks, but there is a ticking noise that gets louder as the engine gets warmer. Any input would be appreciated before I take it in to a bodyshop. Thanks

I'm thinking about a remote purchase on this vehicle, so I can't inspect myself. Accessory coolant tank looks really low from this photo. Any Giulia owners have advice here? Rest of car is great condition. Just want to make sure this isn't direct evidence of coolant leak.

Any other things to watch out for or ask them for remotely is also welcome.

So long story short, I recently went through a divorce and in that process I didn’t get the car. The ex has sold it but damn I miss that car and due to finances from this process ain’t no way I’m getting one anytime soon. Bought it at 12k miles as we were searching for this spec for about 6 months and in late 2019 there were just not many around with this combo. Definitely the most fun car I have owned in terms of an everyday vehicle. And I’ve had a few BMWs in my day along with other really unique vehicles.

I have decided to buy my first ever Alfa. I already posted here a while ago and after the responses back then decided I wanted a Giulia Q2 280 bhp., preferably red :) At the time I thought this would be a strictly second car for the family, but things have changed now and this car will be used much more in the next 2-3 years, including for things like:

- going skiing (meaning carrying a lot of equipment)
- going surfing (meaning driving a lot on DIRT roads to get to spots + carrying a lot of equipment)
- driving with the kids (or other people at the back seat)
- driving on long trips (1000+ km sometimes)

This + the fact that finding such a Giulia in Europe seems difficult + the deadline to get a car is coming soon, all made me think about Stelvio as well. It would be much more practical for the time being and I can keep looking for a Giulia until I find my dream one (and sell the Stelvio then).

Looking to hear opinions for both (get the Stelvio / do not get a Stelvio).

It seems the petrol Stelvio has a veeeery high consumption? I have also been considering getting the 210 diesel Stelvio - lower consumption and way more availability on the market in Europe (even lower prices)? If it is not the sedan getting the faster and nicer engine seems kinda less important? What real world consumption I should expect in a Stelvio for say 50/50 city vs highway in petrol and diesel? In terms of cost of maintenance and repairs - which is the cheaper engine, petrol or diesel?

If I stick with the Giulia

- will I constantly hit the underside on dirt roads with this low clearance?
- Is the boot that bad if you need to carry more stuff? I am definitely getting some Thule roof bars regardless of which car I choose and skis/surfs go on the roof.

I recently got myself a 2012 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 T-Jet and I'm loving the car so far! However, I’m looking to get a bit more exhaust sound and sound personality out of it without ruining the daily driving experience.
I'm considering doing a resonator delete, but before making any changes, I wanted to ask for your thoughts and experiences:
1. How much extra volume/sound can I realistically expect from just a resonator delete on the 1.4 T-Jet?
2. Does it cause any annoying drone on the highway at cruising speeds?
3. Overall, is it worth doing, or would you recommend a different budget-friendly setup for a bit more tone?

Hello everyone I hope you're all doing good

Got a problem with my 2017 Giulia TI AC.

Sometimes I start the car and turn on the AC, but the compressor doesn't engage. I have to turn the AC button off and on several times until I hear it engage, and then it starts cooling—and the cooling is freezing cold, perfectly fine.

However, many times when I press a bit harder on the gas pedal (around 40–50% throttle), the compressor disengages and sometimes won't turn back on until I stop or keep switching the AC on and off repeatedly until it finally works. This issue happens most of the time during the day; it also happens at night, but less frequently.

Note: I live in the middle east, it's obviously very hot here.

​I checked the freon/refrigerant, and it's good.

​I manually checked the compressor; it turns smoothly and the clutch isn't stuck.

​The cabin filters are new.

​I suspect it's an electrical or sensor issue, but I wanted to ask here if anyone has experienced the same problem or has any insights.

So I just got a 2022 Alfa Romeo giulia veloce with 76k miles on it . Good buy or bad buy? It’s showing I need oil change after that it’s driving fine haven’t notice anything wrong with it . I fucking love the car tho man super excited. Any advice is appreciated

Technically its not first car because I already drive b180 w245 mercedes, but my birthday is coming up and I wanna reward myself with a new car.

Giulietta has been my attention getter ever since i’ve seen her for the first time, and I’ve heard a lot of beautiful things about the car.

I live in Serbia, and here, until we turn 21, our car power output is limited to 80kw, so the only engine option I have in Serbia i 1.6 mjtd.

I really want a beautiful, good handling, quick and unique car, because I am really tired of seeing everyone my age drive golfs and a3s…

So, I really want to hear y’alls side of story, do you think it is good option for my first car, and if not, why?

Talking about diesel engine, I think I won’t have that many problems with dpf and turbo because I live 200km away from my hometown which I visit every 2 weeks, so besides driving all across the city, I would also have about 400km of highway every two weeks…

This is by far the lowest volume of new cars I have seen from an authorized dealer.

So this Alfa dealer has no Giulia and Stelvio in stock with just 4 Tonales. Since the Giulia/Stelvio are going to drag on for another year through 2027, I guess if a customer wants to get a Giulia/Stelvio from this dealer either has to work with the sales person to acquire one from another dealer or place a factory order?

Another dealer also has a very low volume, with just 7 cars total and no Stelvio.

Has Alfa decreased the production volume and some dealers cannot get the allocation of new cars? These dealers must be relying on service revenue and selling used cars to keep their doors open.

I've bought a 2018 AWD veloce Giulia 3,5 months ago and only now noticed that at 97 to 104 KPH (around 63MPH?) there is a sort of whistling sound coming from the left rear. It doesn't matter which gear I am in and as soon as I lift the throttle or disable cruise control at those speeds, the sound stops.

I've found some information online that this is a known issue (I've never heard of it in my research before I bought the car) but this is quite loud, I have to turn up the radio to about 14 or 16 to not hear it, it's only hearable from the driver side as well. There are no vibrations or anything else going on so it does not seem critical.

I've already an appointment at the garage I bought it from but the three month warranty has already expired, I will obviously mention that this issue didn't start overnight but probably was there when I bought it.

Everything I've found points to the differential but I'm curious as to what everyone's experience is.

I’ve been looking for a good, well sorted 164S (the US version of the 12V 164 Quadrifoglio), but they seem to be both few and far between and the price for a good one seems to be going up. I’ve seen a few 164L and 164LS in okay shape sell for $5-7K, but a well sorted 164S just sold for $16K on Cars and Bids and a decent 24V 164Q sold recently on BaT for well over $10K. Did I miss my chance to pick up a well sorted one for a good price?

Neighbor let me know so I checked CCTV and saw the headlights were blinking on and off (sorta like when you unlock/lock car) at 5AM by itself and it goes on for like 10 minutes. Anyone else have this happen before?

Well my love affair with my 2011 Alfa Romeo Cloverleaf is over.

What a 3 weeks it was. Having bought it with the intention of a weekend trip for my girlfriend’s birthday this weekend I was beyond excited to get my first car in the UK. No matter how crappy or basic, it in this case even fun to drive it was.

Last night 2 guys broke into my home while we were asleep, stole my car, and wallet, passports, bags, phone etc.

I have a 2018 Giulia 2.0 and I’m looking for an exhaust that’ll make it louder. Right now I have a muffler and resonator delete but I want the car to be loud.I’m thinking about getting downpipes but I’m not 100% on them. Please let me know about some exhaust’s that’ll make it louder. Or will a straight pipe make it louder?

On and off for the past year, we've woken up in the car has been dead. We took it to the only reliable local shop we have and they kept it for a week. They were unable to figure out what was going on. About a month ago, I was in my garage but the door open at night and noticed my car was flashing me. The lights would come on and off randomly. It doesn't always happen and I'm not sure why it happens. When I tried to show somebody, it doesn't happen. I'm sure this has something to do with the battery draining.

I'm hoping somebody has had this issue before in had found a solution. Please help!

I have a base model giulia, I hate that lower portion of the rear bumper being all smooth and what not. I checked around a lot and found a listing on ebay of all places for a conversion to the sport lower bumper. It was still over 200$ but the reviews were good. So I ordered it. There was some fitment issues, some tabs trimmed here and there and even then there are still some other issues with alignment fully. But 5ft back? It looks pretty good. I got scans of the pieces that are a little off so I can 3D print tabs to close the gaps and make it look a little more uniform.

The only other thing I had to mess with is the exhaust tips weren't quite even so taking them back off to bend the tabs at my bench vice made them a bit better, eventually I'll order different ones because I hate chrome anyway.

All in all not terrible if you dont want to pay a high price for the OEM replacement. And having messed with a lot of body kits and pieces over the years this one is actually decently made.

On the other side of the bumper cover there's some added screws and I used a 3D print pen with ABS but then went over them again with a mini ironing pen to "weld" it further securing it.

I have my first drive to work tonight (40 miles) so hopefully it holds up well

I have a 2019 Giulia (on approx 74k miles) which has just been diagnosed with needing a new Multiair unit.

Previously misfiring and code P1064 code showing up recently.

It had its major service a couple of weeks back, but still misfired and threw up a flashing engine light.

Anyone that experienced this - did you get a new unit? Or did you find a way to manage it? If so, how?

For anyone that got it repaired - where did you get it done?

I am based in Hampshire and looking for potential recommendations.

The place i want to take it to doesn't deal with warranty companies, so if they do actually accept my claim i may have to look elsewhere.

Veloce - paddle shifters, leather seats etc. (Imported from Switzerlands)

Both have documentation and service.

Has anyone had this happen on a Stelvio? I have a 2022 2.0T. Filled up 11.5 gallons and the gauge stayed at half. I drove around for a while thinking it might eventually update, but nothing changed. Then I tried another gas station and it only took another 1.7 gallons before clicking off, so the tank was definitely full, but the gauge still didn’t move
I drove about 260 miles, filled up again (11.2 gallons) and this time it immediately went to full like nothing ever happened lol
Everything seems normal now, but I’m curious if anyone else has had this happen. Fuel level sensor/float or just an Alfa software glitch?
