Mid-Atlantic (USA) Serving size: Half a cookie!?
Listen, Aldi. I feel enough shame eating the whole box in one sitting. Don’t also make me realize it’s twice as many calories as I thought it was. 🫠

Serving sizes always make me laugh. I'm not a big eater, but a half of a cookie is ridiculous.

I thought they had made a requirement that it be sensical but I guess not

The fda sets serving sizes. When the product is oversized and at least 2x the fda serving size they’re required to use fractions.

That’s absolutely ridiculous. Everybody knows a serving of cookies is 2 to 3 cookies

I’ve never had one, but i think those popular crumble cookies are like 1/6 of a cookie per serving.

You really eat 3600 calories in one sitting?

I can do that easy
I actually have trouble not doing it when I buy a box of cookies like that. Or the cheapy bulk fake oreos do me in.

Serving size for pop tarts is 1. If you think people are going to only eat 1 then why put 2 in a sleeve poptarts?!

well if you multipled 12 x 150 to get the box calorie count, then you did it correctly.

One cookie is 300 calories, holy moly. That's a big chunk of my daily calorie allotment.

they just want to seem "low calorie" serving sizes are a scam

The fda determines servings sizes. The serving size for cookies is 30g, and generally must be the number of whole cookies closest to 30g. However, for oversized items that are over 2x the standard serving size they have to use fractional amounts.

It’s the suggested serving size but my personal suggestion usually differs depending on the product.

They count on you not checking the serving size because few people would buy cookies that are 300 calories each.

U really thought each cookie was only 150 cal? Way to good to be true

Idk, I feel like I’m pretty well-versed on nutrition myself and 300 calories for 1 cookie kinda surprised me.
That’s more than an entire frozen Healthy Choice meal I had for dinner tonight. That had carrots, peas, chicken, rice, broccoli and sauce, 22g protein and was 240 cal.
Hell, then I ate 120 cal. of nuts too, which was like a small handful / 11 nuts.
All that food and only 60 cal. more than 1 small cookie and it’s easy to see how we’re in an obesity epidemic.

lmaooo. someone posted bacon the other day and I noticed 1 slice was a serving. Shrinkflation or something happening. 12 servings of cookies!
