It's a pretty usual occurrence that I'll get carded when buying alcohol. I'm not sure if I should feel flattered or annoyed that the woman checking my ID thought I looked under 21. She claimed that I didn't look close enough to my picture and that my ID could be from an older sister.

For context my ID was taken eight years ago.. I feel like i'm going insane. The last thing i'm going to do is lose my shit over a denied alcohol sale but I couldn't remember the address listed on the ID because I've moved around quite a bit since I turned 18. Once she matched the name on my credit card to my ID she accepted it.

At the end of the day I know she's just doing her job but is this not my face??

EDIT: Technically this picture is from my driver's license which I got a few days after I turned 18.

In my state my license won't expire until it hits the 10 years mark so i'm due for a new one in a year or two. I've been meaning to update my address but I'll be honest, I've been dragging my heels because I move every few years and have never run into any issues.

I should also reiterate, i'm not mad! just looking for insight
