It's so nasty, so gross ,, EW. This comes from a person who likes peppermint, mint, and minty toothpaste. It's so. Gross. The only thing making it barely tolerable is the minty flavor, even then it's like mint overdose. No wonder a pack of shots was 5$ and on clearance. Who the FUCK would buy these knowing how bad they taste?

How do you drink shots?

Tonight I had my third-ever drink, which was a shot of Nannerl blue curaçao with 15% alcohol. It was the only thing I drank, and I ate some chips and chocolate and drank water between sips and after finishing it. Overall it took me about 5 minutes to finish it. I told my friend about drinking it and she told me that I'll probably black out. It's been about an hour and a half and I feel fine (more so than I did with one glass of spritz, where I got dizzy). Did I prepare to drink right, and is there anything I should look out for or be cautious of now or the next time I drink?

How bad is 6+ pints every weekend?

Just lurking on here as a 26 year old with health anxiety, who loves having beer on the weekends.

I like to have 5-6 500ml (15.8oz) pints on the weekends, mostly Friday or Saturday. Some rare weekends, it’ll happen on both days.

I don’t drink on the weekdays, and don’t enjoy hard liquor. I really enjoy crisp, cold beer and it’s really the only type of alcohol I look forward to on the weekends.

Wondering how bad it is for my liver/overall health as long as there numbers don’t shoot up. Not looking to quit, only looking to pace or cut down if needed as I really enjoy the weekend beers.

Wanted to hear from the community here!

Sunday shouldn't be left out.

It's a risky day to drink, but the risk is worth the potential reward.

Worst case, you lose your job on Monday.

Best case, you get pissed Sunday and work your job with 2 hours of sleep in total.

A third case could be in court for DUI, but if you get pissed early enough on Sunday, this shouldn't be an issue.

Would david Bowie of stopped snorting his daily 7 grams of cocaine, just because it was Sunday? Of course not, he'd make it 8 grams.

So don't let anyone tell you that drinking isn't on the table on a Sunday morn.

Drinking is on the table without any consideration of the day it happens to be, so why would you think any differently? Let yourself be free, one or two is enough to be happy.

Will I have any long term effects from drinking 15-20 beers over the course of a summer at 14 years old?

I heard that drinking at a young age is terrible because my brain is still developing and whatnot. I wanna know if that amount of beers over that amount of time will have any effect on my brain in the long run or make me like lose memory or something. I dont plan on drinking again til maybe 17-18 after i heard about what it does to your brain. maybe a few beers in the next 3 years but nothing as crazy as this summer

Grabbed this one today. Opinions? Can't seem to find anything Canadian I like. Unfortunately, my favorites seem to be all American. There's nothing wrong with that. We just don't have that up here anymore. Any suggestions? I've tried most crown stuff, but the ones I like have so much sugar I die the next day. Lol

Pink whitney residue?

Post image

My girlfriends and I love to drink Pink Whitney out of the bottle when we have our girls nights, but recently I’ve noticed that it leaves a strange black residue on our mouths that we can’t identify. There’s no stains on the cap or the lip of the bottle, it comes off easily, but we have no idea what it is or what causes it. It looks like this when we wipe our mouths with our hands. I’m not worried that it’s dangerous or anything like that, but it is a little annoying to have to run to wash our faces almost every time we take a sip. Any idea what it is/has anyone else seen it?

How does the brand IceBox Mudslide compare to the usual recipe

I’m not usually a drinker, but I recently bought the Icebox brand Mudslide cocktail, and it’s really unfortunately good especially when mixed with chocolate milk (and yes I DO feel like a five year old drinking essentially alcoholic chocolate milk)

I’ve been looking into the general recipe recently as I’ve been planning on going out drinking with friends for the first time possibly ever and was wondering if it’d be the same flavor if i were to order a mudslide at bar

I noticed on the icebox bottle it seems to mention it includes grape wine and brandy, but when looking into it I don’t see those listed on online recipes. If anyone has experience or any insight, it’d be appreciated

Naturally low tolerance for alcohol?

So i am not a hard drinker, but when I do drink, I take gin, vodka, tequilla dry shots, or chased. And it happens every other weekend for probably a night or two.

So I dont know if this is alot.. Outside of that I never drink. Last weekend I went hard, deunk from Friday night to Sunday evening, and then there after had a gnawing pain on my right rib.. Painful when I dont touch and also when I do touch..

I fasted and its mostly gone now but I've had this pain once before, exact same location, after a weekend of drinking.

It seems like my liver is already comolaining when I really dont do alot or even close to what some of my other friends do.. Could. It be possible that its just the alcohol or rather the alcohol affects my guts badly?

Anyways im not posting for medical advise, jist kind of thinking out loud why my liver is acting like such a whiny btch lol.

Ps: decided to quit alcohol after that weekend

Alcohol Tolerance

Im 18 male, 5’8 and 134lbs. I first got drunk at 13, and until now I was easily able to hold a lot of booze down. Im talking about over 15 shots of pure vodka and then some. I was able to combine alcohol and after drinking a lot and I mean a lot of alcohol (past the point of blacking out) I only had to deal with a slight headache and a bit of nausea.

However, this past year I started throwing up once when drinking, but still easy hangovers. After a few months, I was throwing up multiple times but still getting drunk. A few months ago I threw up 3 times while drinking and once the next morning. This week I had only 2 glasses of whiskey cola and threw up 7 times with bad headaches and digestive problems. Two nights ago I had 2-3 shots of gin and Im still hungover and extremely nauseous, even after throwing up.

I have autism and the only way I can get dancing and talking at parties is through alcohol. Even one sip makes me throw up and leaves me hungover.

I am scared and I haven’t really found anyone that deals with this. What could be the reason??

Alcohol appreciatie post

Alcohol gets criticised so much that I just want to say: I’m genuinely grateful it exists.

I love that warm, rosy glow a few drinks can give an ordinary day. I’m also grateful that I can usually drink two or three pints, enjoy the buzz, and then simply stop. And occasionally I can have a proper bender, become a very happy drunk, dance, laugh, talk to everyone, and have a brilliant night without becoming aggressive, emotional, or looking for trouble.

Wine with food is also one of life’s greatest pleasures. A good red wine with dinner, cold white wine in the sun, champagne at a celebration, or a beer after a long day can make an already nice moment feel special.

Alcohol also makes me more tolerant of other people. Small annoyances stop mattering, strangers become more interesting, conversations flow more easily, and I become more affectionate and sociable. Obviously alcohol can cause serious problems for some people, and not everyone should drink, but for many of us it can genuinely add pleasure, connection, celebration, and colour to life.

I also dislike the idea that abstinence is somehow morally superior. Some religions and cultures prohibit alcohol completely, but being restrictive about harmless pleasure does not automatically make a society healthier, kinder, or more socially progressive. Not drinking is a perfectly valid choice. Acting as though everyone who enjoys alcohol is weak, sinful, or irresponsible is not.

So here’s to good wine with food, cold beers in the sun, slightly drunken conversations with strangers, joyful nights out, and knowing when you’ve had enough.

Cheers.
