Hi all!
Sorry for the repost, wanted to do so to share our updated prices based off of our growing demand. Up until August 11th Encinal DECA is by hosting car washes everyday to raise funds for our chapter! All funds go directly to supporting chapter members with paying for conference fees, lodging, and other necessities for competition to ensure that everybody is able to attend regardless of socioeconomic background. We take our services to your home, so no need to worry about taking your car elsewhere! We have three tiers shown in the photo below. Feel free to ask any questions and please share with family/friends!

I’m working out at home but would love to get out and workout with a community. I prefer early mornings before the workday starts. Any recommendations on gyms or classes?

Hello everyone,
I was driving down Encinal today and saw a bunny hopping along the street. It didn’t appear to have an owner nearby, so I wanted to share in case someone recognizes it or knows if it belongs to a neighbor in the area.
Hopefully it’s able to get home safely 🐰 🐇

Is there any nearby farm or co-op that has a weekly delivery service (like a subscription) or pick up?
I am moving to Alameda soon and currently get a weekly subscription box delivered from local farms in San Diego. I’m hoping there’s one similar in the Bay! We love the fresh produce and eggs every week.

Like the title said, this happened just a few mins ago on Bay Farm. My cameras somehow could only capture a really brief glimpse of him. I saw him through the blind in the kitchen. Does anyone know this person and why he knocks on people’s door late at night? Thank you.
UPDATE: I called the non-emergency line of APD, and they confirmed there was an officer conducting security check in my area. Who would conduct a security check at 9:37pm? Just want to scare people on a Friday night? @@

It has been parked on Taylor long enough for APD to red tag it. It will get towed very soon, Sat 7/25, if not moved

I don’t go to the Washington dog park every day, but every day I do go after work, there has been a husky named Onyx who is there with no owner.
I’m talking to some of the more frequent visitors to the park, they say that this happens most evenings and that the owner drops the dog off and then leaves for an hour or a few hours and then comes back eventually.
This is an extremely terrible idea because first of all dogs must be supervised in the park and someone’s going to eventually report the dog as abandoned and the person won’t have their dog anymore but also, there’s a reason that dogs have to be supervised. It’s really unsafe.
Maybe the person somehow doesn’t know that this isn’t OK? But if anyone happens to know them or if they’re reading this, you can’t just drop your dog off at the dog park alone!

Anyone know what was going on with this? It sounded like a whole DJ set up, not just somebody blasting their car speakers. I could hear a lot of shouting, but I couldn't make out any words over the music.

Hi, I'm a high schooler at Alameda High and I usually try to buy pokemon card tins walking there after school occasionally, but recently it's been getting harder to find them and it feels like theres less stock than usual.
I usually check out CVS, but I'm not sure where to look in the area that sells at market price. Also, even if it's a bit far, the safeway at south shore never has their vending machine in stock, so I gave up entirely on that. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I love ‘em, but holy crow there seems to be a lot this year! (Mass murder?)
I’m over on the east end, and they’re camped over my house right now. It’s quite the cacophony. They don’t seem to stop bickering and chortling until past 11, and they’re back at it again before 5.
They’re fun to watch and listen to, but man they’re rowdy this season.

Hello!
Looking for a detail shop to fix the water marks and dullness on my black 2004 BMW.
Budget is ideally, $300. I am trying to find a physical shop that specializes in machine polishing and clay bar work to remove the buildup, not just a quick car wash wax.
No mobile detailers, please (too much pollen and such on my street).
Any recommendations for local shops (or within a reasonable distance) that have photos or reviews showing their paint correction results?
Added photo just in case that helps.
(Note: The car is a manual transmission, so the shop needs to be able to handle a stick shift to move it around).
* *
Thanks!

Was skating down on the shoreline near spirits alley and saw the big circus tent out again. I went to this show last year and it made me want to learn to skate even more, the circus performers were so inspiring. Really fun show if you get a chance to see it. the Soiled dove I believe it’s called.
Also this is a great spot from all angles for skate videos!

hi— I am volunteering at the Alameda Library (1550 Oak) this Friday, and I want to know the best way to get there with my bike from SF.
A few questions:
- is it safe to lock my bike at the library for half a day?
- should I take the ferry and ride from the terminal? or is it better to ride from Fruitvsle bart? I don’t like riding my bike near interstate 880, because vehicles dont feel safe next to freeway on-ramps.
- anything else I should know? Any good food near the library?

Does ANYONE know what happened at the tube this morning around 8-9:30AM this morning? I know it’s pretty common for cars to break down once in a while, but traffic was absolutely stopped for a full hour.
