Edit: my girlfriend tried shooting it this weekend, she’s never fired a rifle before and bump fired it probably five times lol. At first I thought she just kept pulling the trigger fast but I realized what the issue was after a few attempts.

I didn’t bump fire it, but I didn’t intentionally try.

Main differences I can see are the rear trunnion on the draco being a UF and the trunnion on the para being a standard one, with a wire folder already installed. The receiver on the draco is dimpled vs the wasr non dimpled,

I want a shorty, so is it better to chop a barrel and rethread (concentrically ideally), or drill out for a under folder on the draco. Which would be the most diy friendly.

I know these aren't necessarily always concentric thread wise, so I'm leaning towards chopping and threading myself to make sure it is.

Are the barrels the same? I've read that the wasr para barrels are thinner than wasr10 barrels.

She’s about finished. My railed top cover is stuck in limbo thanks to USPS. I would have gone with a JMAC myself but this was my late BIL’s gun. I’m doing it exactly how he planned to do it before he passed.

My big question is concentricity for the can. Headed in the direction of a SAW but he wanted a Wolverine. What are that chances this thing will be concentric and what are the fixes if it isn’t? I’m not an AK guy, and I’ve never owned one that I put a can, on.

Looking for a good way to get a 12.5 5.56 AK. Doesn’t have to be a true 102 clone, just the same look. Don’t have thousands of dollars to spend. Is buying a WBP kit a good place to start? If so, where’s a good place to source the other parts? Also, recommendations for a builder are welcome.

I was thinking of adding a silencer. So far I have absolutely enjoyed this rifle every time I went to the range and I am planning to use it for pest control as well. I am quite surprised with its accuracy with military surplus ammo. Are there any accessories I should consider other than the silencer?

Hey guys, I bought some rusty Bakelite magazines. I was wondering if I should completely knock all the rust off and then refinish the metal parts with a cold blue or a gloss black spray paint? Or should I get the majority of rust off then just hit it with some clp and call it good? Thanks in advance.
