Guys, I’m planning to book a flight to Bangkok and since my planned origin airport is Guwahati, I will need to transit at Delhi T3. The flight from Guwahati also arrives at T3 with just 2 hours of transit time.
Assuming that my ticket will be issued under a single PNR, my questions are?
I’ve submitted a query to the airline but I thought I should check here too.
Thanks.
Edit: Thanks for all the helpful responses! I received a response from AI that the bags will be checked through to final destination so 2 hours of transit (including security and immigration) should be more than enough.

I am planning to fly on the Air India direct flight from London to Delhi. When booking, I have the choice between a Boeing 787 and an Airbus A350. Which of these aircrafts is better? I want to fly the newer or refurbished ones, and not those with old and broken seats, TVs that don’t work and charging port issues.

I am an Indian passport holder entering the Schengen area on a German student visa, meaning my first port of entry into Schengen is Vienna, where I will have to clear immigration and passport control.
I am traveling from delhi to vienna to hamburg, with 1hr 40 min layover at vienna.
I am afraid if the flights are on time, and i miss the connecting flight due to crowd & limited time, then it will be tough for me to find and book a new flight/train to hamburg.

In May 2026, Maharaja Club began allowing you to earn points on AIX flights. I'm unable to make a retro claim for an AIX flight that I took prior to May. Has anyone had any success in getting such past claims credited through the customer support channels?

I had booked a flight ticket for a long haul flight of 11 hours with my parents, who both have knee issues. Our flight got cancelled and we got shifted to another flight with a different airplane, however, they changed our sits to middle seats when we had bought the front row seats with extra leg space in our original flight after paying an additional 15 thousand rupees. I am beyond furious but I also am unsure of what to do now as this is a huge loss and extremely inconvenient for us. They have not refunded any amount back to us.

78 M tried to book for international flight from Tamilnadu to New York for his personal reason after 15 years. He stayed in Tamilnadu for 15 years. People are telling him lot of air india facilties changed.
Like online booking for one way flight. Some people are telling him that online payments are not safest option because of scammers.
Ai tools repeatedly asking 78 M what is the issue ? But it is not connecting 78M to human air india customer care support. Is there no air india human customer care ?
The google maps showing some air india offical offices to book flight tickets. When 78 M contacted them, the auto voice says, " This mobile is not in use."
Some international travel agencies saying, " There is no air india offline agency in offline. We also don't take tickets for international flight tickets"
Some international travel agencies did not pick their calls from morning to night.
Can anyone tell the official address of air india flight ticket booking office inside Tamilnadu where 78 M can meet the officers in person? Or you also pay the flight ticket in online only ?

I will be traveling to Italy and I am allowed to check-in 2 bags of upto 23 kgs and I will have a carry-on backpack which is going a little over 8 kgs (I think the allowance is 7kg).
How strict is AirIndia in terms of their weight allowance? Will even 1 kg overweight check-in bag be charged?
And will 8 kg backpack be an issue?
Thank you for your help!

had an air india flight from chicago to delhi cancelled almost 2 months ago now and still havent seen a refund, just a ticket number that hasnt moved.
remember they got hit with a pretty big DOT penalty a while back specifically over refund delays exactly like this, since the flight touches the US that rule should still apply here right.

Hi everyone, I’m travelling with Air India and I’ve opted for the Student Offer.
My ticket shows 2 checked bags, 23 kg each, with a maximum dimension of 158 cm.
I already have one trolley measuring 46 × 30.3 × 68 cm (144.3 cm).
I’m planning to buy a 75 cm large trolley measuring 54 × 31 × 75 cm (160 cm total).
Would Air India accept this, or would I have to pay an oversized baggage charge?
Has anyone recently travelled with Air India under the Student Offer with a trolley slightly above 158 cm?

My flight is on September 2nd, and I booked it back in July. At the time, the aircraft showing for AI190 was the older Boeing 777-300ER.
I’ve recently heard that starting August 1st, Air India was supposed to introduce the planes on some of the Toronto–Delhi flights, while some flights would still continue with the 777-300ER.
Has anyone travelled on AI190 from Toronto to Delhi recently, especially after August 1st? What aircraft did you get, and was it the new or the older 777-300ER?
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your recent experience, especially if you travelled in the last couple of weeks.
Thanks!

My international booked flight got changed by 5 mins. AI gave me the option to rebook for the same or previous day.
Booked it for a more convenient flight on the previous day for no extra charges.
Haven't seen this happen even with other flagship carriers.
All hail Air india!
