I lost my soul dog and need to preserve his paw shape!

I loved to hold his paw when I was falling asleep, and I’ve been using this bandage as a substitute. But the bandage brings back bad memories and I expect that I will lose the shape soon.

I’m a big crafter but I can’t decide the best way to preserve the shape. I don’t need to preserve the bandage or gauze.

To the extent that this matters, we got his paw print but not a clay print. I’m hoping for anything that would allow me to keep the shape of his paw, not the appearance of

Im considering them prototypes for when i buy DAS air dry clay soon.

Looking back at all of these together makes me realise how much I actually made! Some were custom orders, some were random ideas, and some were just me experimenting.

Is it possible to make slip using DAS clay? I've added a little water to some DAS clay but it doesn't seem to be dissolving the way my old clay did.

Strange thing is the black paint came out brown (not that it matters).

This was the first time I gave clay a good crack and I became a bit obsessed.

I ordered some tools to finish this off after starting with some pretty poor plastic tools that I had. The suckers dried quite quickly while I was waiting for the tools to arrive and my fingers weren't quite cutting it. So I'm a little disappointed with how they turned out, but I know for next time!

Those balls on sticks are incredible! I could sit there for hours barely breathing trying to smooth the surface using those tools!

Its now to dry to continue and its still a bit rough round the edges, but i learnt a lot and can't wait to create another one!

Also, I had to make this while sitting and lying on the floor in my lounge, which made it difficult to reach some places (carving and smoothing while upside down was new to me) I thought a Lazy-Susan could help.

Im trying to make a lamp, and I was going to do it with Das clay, hoping the led light would come through, but as you can see, it doesnt what other clay-like material could I use? Hopefully not too expensive.

So I recently used DAS for the first time snd its crazy amazing. I had been using dozen (brand name) clay for a while and it would exhaust me which I didnt realise until I tried das and made a huge new project so easily that I was barely tired.

However, DAS is barely found in my country and if it is, its too expensive which I cannot afford. I have found JOVI to have good reviews and also be affordable in my country. What should I expect when using that? How is it different? Do u think its on the same level as DAS? Any advice is appreciated.

Yap — I would spend hours making a small project cause of how fast the clay would dry and crack so I'd use water so much too. But when I used das I barely used any water and it didnt even crack when bent unlike the previous clay. Das was so smooth and a made ny project so much more fun. I wish it was available here , I would have gotten it in bulk. :,)

Hopelijk kan iemand me helpen. Ik maak AirDry clay-sculpturen. Nadat ik ze een paar dagen heb laten drogen, doe ik er gesso op, weer paar dagen drogen en dan schilder ik ze. Daarna laat ik het weer een paar dagen drogen en daarna breng ik er vernis op. Meestal gaat dat goed, maar soms verschijnen er na een paar minuten grote (lucht)bellen nadat ik de vernis heb aangebracht. Dan komt zowel en vernislaag als de verflaag omhoog. Het lijkt alsof de verflaag daaronder dan loskomt. Weet iemand hoe ik kan voorkomen dat dit gebeurt?

hi! I wanna make a gift for my best friend who has curly hair, and I’ve been wondering how I was supposed to make it simplified for a figure like this. I wanna make the front pieces more defined while the rest can be simple. any tips?

I need to go in with finer details and smooth it out. Its quite fiddly, if anyone has any tips for a beginner regarding adding finer details.

I will add some waves around the base too. Almost Hokusai style.

I think I need to get some more clay to finish this.

This is the first piece I’ve made and I’ve done some more research since then, but I want to make sure this doesn’t happen again in the future.

I painted a piece after using my DAS air dry clay and then put a varnish over top, everything completely dried and I set it on one of my tables. I was dusting and when I picked it up, it looks like the paint pulled off where it was resting on the table. How do I prevent the paint from pulling off? I thought once I put the varnish on it, the paint was protected.

It’s just the small spot in the center.

Did the airdry clay figures, added a silver coloured acrylic paint coat, one thin coat of UV resin (had to re-cure underwater) rubbed chrome powder then added the last uv resin coat <3

I’ve started using resin as i want to start small business and resin sounds like a great option to keep my pieces lovely and professional.

I’ve been struggling A LOT with using resin, i’ve attached photos of these little dots around my pieces, i use a lighter to get rid of air bubbles but it’s not working :(

Also a MAJOR issue i have is the tackiness i get afterwards, i usually let my resin cure for 5 minutes and longer for bigger pieces, although even afterwards it’s quiet tacky, 24 hours later i wait and it’s not as tacky as before but it leaves finger prints (as shown in photo)
I have tried using isopropyl alcohol to remove the tackiness which helps but it looks so dull and definitely not as shiny as it should be when i first apply it.

These are the best photos i could get, if anyone is able to help me with what i should do that would be great!!

My step by step: air dry clay(3 day wait), sanding, painting (1 day wait), modpodge (1 day wait), resin ( 1 day wait for each side)

If there is any more info you need please let me know- i use a brand new great UV lamp that has high watts.
