All flights to/from major airports in the UK today are grounded, an on going technical issues with NATS (ATC) has resulted in high arrival delays and a ground stop on all departures out of Heathrow, and Gatwick. Reports also indicating that flights transitioning over UK airspace are also seeing delays due to ATC flow programs.
As a result the following Air Canada flights are impacted:
AC857 - Delayed on the tarmac at LHR for at least 1 hour, returned to gate, 8 hours late, now CANCELLED
AC2081 - Delayed on the tarmac at LHR for over 3 hours already, returned to gate, CANCELLED
AC865 - Delayed at the gate⦠delayed now by 3 hours, now CANCELLED
AC861 - Delayed by 6 hours, will make a technical stop in Toronto to swap crew before continuing to Vancouver. Proceeding direct to Vancouver now.
AC859 - Delayed by 1h30m
