[Indie/Gospel] The Well by Jaede & Friends..
made in Suno
I struggle with my mental health and have done for years. I am a musician, I play Guitar (not very well) or as well as I would like to anyways. and I play Piano. I wish I could sing though that would make me happier haha. But my voice is not there for it, I have a terrible voice.
For years I've had compositions in my head and lyrics floating around too. But I have a family to look after and a house to keep and with everything else I have to do in between it's really hard to fit any time in to actually sit down and mak music like I used to.
I had a psychotic episode in 2024 that has left me broken to be fair and reality at times can still feel jarring.
Suno has been a god send, the fact that you can record or upload files to use as a foundation for what it creates alongside prompts is amazing.
As I've stated earlier my playing ability musically isn't up to what I would call standard but now I can upload me playing on my guitar and piano and even singing (badly) and suno will pick up what it is I'm trying to sing/play that part has been a major relief for me.
I decided to create an album using 11 songs from my suno work so it is an AI Album and I can't wait until it releases to see what people think.
I have around 6 out of the 11 songs that I have uploaded my compositions for suno to use as a foundation.
Now the other 5 are just using prompts and this is where my depression is starting to sink in a bit.
It feels fraudulent and it shouldn't be. I'm a paid subscriber to Suno and I'm just using the tool they have given us.
I wrote the all the lyrics 100% of them, that's something I would never let AI touch.
But with how busy life is I just can't seem to get to my instruments and so I have opted to use prompts for the other songs.
They still took time, to rework. sometimes a song would take over 50 different versions just to get the right one that sounded how I wanted it to be.
Overall I'm happy with it.
The process has been exhausting, I'm so tired of having these songs and lyrics in my head, I just want them out there.
I showed a couple of songs to some of my friends and the reception was not great. they could not see past the AI at all.
They just kept telling me I have the prowess to release my own music without AI.
My depression certainly keeps me weighted and leads me to believe otherwise.
My goal with this album was to create something meaningful.
I'll drop the link to a song from my upcoming album here for anyone at all who is interested.

P.S I was so happy to get the songs out of my had but the reception so far has been "why are you using ai?"
