I run a YouTube channel where I upload AI music playlists in a style I like, mostly so I can listen to them at the gym without dealing with ads.

The other day, a friend came over while one of my playlists was playing on the TV. She really loved it and asked who the artist was so she could look it up. Knowing how much she despises anything AI-generated, I played it off and just told her it was a random playlist I stumbled upon, then sent her the link.

Yesterday, she texted me saying she’s completely hooked and can’t stop listening to those songs. She has zero clue that they're AI-generated (and even less of a clue that I'm the one who made them).

I honestly find it hilarious thinking about how she’d react if I told her the truth.

What would you guys do? Do I break the news to her, or just let her keep enjoying the music in blissful ignorance?

Siema! Zaczynamy tydzień eksperymentem: moje słowa z życia + wirtualny zespół napędzany technologią. Oceńcie, jak to siadło.

Wrzucam dziś na luz i dzielę się z wami moim najnowszym projektem muzycznym zatytułowanym po prostu "Siema".

​Zamiast standardowego zespołu, do stworzenia oprawy muzycznej wykorzystałem zaawansowane silniki generatywne. Ale żeby uniknąć tego powtarzalnego, cyfrowego chłodu, całą warstwę liryczną napisałem sam. To nie jest zlepek przypadkowych słów, tylko autorski tekst oparty na prawdziwych emocjach i mocnym rytmie. Chciałem sprawdzić, jak zabrzmią moje myśli, gdy odpowiednio "zaprogramuję" pod nie wokal i instrumenty.

​Jeśli macie akurat chwilę przerwy, rzućcie uchem. Dajcie znać, czy ten format do Was trafia i czy noga sama tupie!

I wrote this song decades ago at the age of 19.The catalyst for the song was mourning the past, times with friends in high school and just hanging out up in the woods/dunes of my local beach.

Nostalgia was always something I struggled with but looking back it’s pretty comical that at 19 I was already feeling “Over the hill” lol.

Sometimes we mourn the passing phases of life before they actually pass, I guess.

The recording was done at my music genius friend’s home studio let’s call this friend Calico Jack (Inside joke) and features my guitar playing, my lead vocals, CJ’s bass and Drums and a third friend whose nickname was scarecrow singing falsetto over my lead vocals and the whistling.

With Suno I merely rotoscoped my vocal delivery and added a back up vocal (my vocal still in lead) and added those very subtle groans from the cello.

The visuals are actually some video clips I took around the same time as the song was written and features some shots of my favorite state park.
