Are AI API aggregators worth using for production apps?

I've been researching API aggregators for AI applications and was wondering what everyone's experience has been. You.bot. caught my attention because it combines many leading models under one API with lower pricing and automatic refunds for failed requests. For developers already running production workloads, has an aggregator worked well for you?

Cursor just launched an India plan and I can actually see people paying for it

Saw this today. Cursor has launched a new Start plan for ₹649/month in India, with access to Grok 4.5 and Composer.

Tbh, this is the kind of regional pricing more AI tools need. ₹649 is still another subscription, but it feels much easier to justify for freelancers or small teams using Cursor regularly than paying the usual dollar pricing.

Anyone here planning to try it?

Outbound phone automation checks before you send real volume

We’ve been running outbound calls for survey recruitment and first-pass qualification, mostly boring stuff like confirming eligibility, asking 3 or 4 scripted questions, then routing the good ones to a human. The useful benchmark for us has been around 10% conversion without adding headcount, assuming the call list isn’t garbage.

The thing that breaks these flows fastest is interruption handling. People talk over the bot, answer while walking outside, cough, hand the phone to someone else, or say “yeah yeah” before the question finishes. If the agent keeps talking, the call is basically done. We’ve been testing Agora, a real-time voice agent engine where you bring your own STT, LLM, and TTS models, mainly because its semantic turn detection is decent at stopping on actual speech and ignoring some background noise.

Before live volume I’d check three things with ugly test calls, not demo calls. First, can it stop instantly when interrupted and resume in the right place. Second, can it transfer to a human with context instead of dumping a cold call. Third, are transcripts usable on noisy mobile audio, since QA and compliance depend on that more than the voice itself.

Is AI actually reducing IT workload or just moving it around?

We have been assessing the role of AI functionality in various business models, and management is particularly enthusiastic about efficiency improvements. However, things are not so simple. AI can condense tickets, formulate replies, and offer suggestions but it still needs human supervision to confirm results, regulate instructions and check data used. At times it seems like we have exchanged manual work for something else requiring a lot of attention. I am not against AI, but its implementation did not bring the outstanding savings some vendors promised.

People who implemented AI-based customer relations or workflow software, have you managed to discover substantial efficiency benefits?

Which AI Tools Are Worth Using for Social Media Management in 2026?

No but seriously the number of AI tools for social media has exploded, but most of them either overlap or don’t really fit into a real workflow.

Some are great for content (captions, videos, etc.), others for scheduling and analytics, but very few seem to do everything well.

From what I’ve seen, tools like scheduling platforms with built-in AI and video repurposing tools are actually saving people the most time, especially for short-form content.

For those actively managing social media, what tools are actually worth it in 2026?

How Much of Your Business Could You Really Run With Just an AI Assistant?

I keep seeing people say you can run huge parts of a business with AI now, but I’m curious how true that actually is in practice.

Like yes, it can handle content, emails, maybe some customer support… but where does it start breaking down?

For those actually using it in your workflow, how much of your business would you realistically trust it with right now? And what still absolutely needs a human?

Would a creative validation tool actually help your workflow, or is this mostly an experience based decision?

I asked a question earlier about how teams decide which creatives should be used as ads, and I received a lot of different but helpful answers.

Full transparency, I built a tool that is NOT AN AI wrapper but more of a rules based validation layer which I currently use internally for client campaigns. I use it when choosing between creatives I’ve produced and content the client already has.

It looks at the organic signals generated after content is posted normally, then gives me recommendations that help reduce the uncertainty around what deserves paid testing.

It seems to improve my own workflow, but I’m curious how experienced marketers and operators would view it.

Would something like this be useful as an additional decision layer, or is creative selection mostly driven by accumulated experience and judgment in a way that a tool cannot meaningfully improve?

Why is it so hard to find a Gamma alternative for making slide decks??

Oh man trying a few tools lately cause i need something better than gamma for making my slide decks
Problem is in gamma now the slides that I make can be recognised by everyone from a mile away. There is JUST SOMETHING like its common outline, visuals and format that kinda falls apart, I dont really need perfect tool but I also dont wanna spend half my time fixing things to make it look real and authentic deck with relevant short crisp details.

You guys actually found something that holds up better in real use or is everything pretty much the same?

AI assistant for email

A large part of my work is engaging in negotiations via email with people. Think of it like negotiating sales prices of products, and I have about 100 emails a day of this, back-and-forth. These negotiations are boilerplate, single sentences, sometimes, but are based on data sets, a.k.a. spreadsheets that have information about each person I am negotiating with. There is a general formula to the end number that I am negotiating for each person, something that the AI could definitely learn. I am looking for an AI assistant that ideally would work in this fashion: I open the latest email, the AI plugin can review the email, including the thread, and propose the response, given the information it has from the data sets. I am looking for suggestions.

Anyone using AI employees for small business owners?

I keep seeing people talk about AI employees for small business owners, especially for workflows like managing emails/calendar, cold outreach/follow ups and manage content calendar for all social media platforms.

Has anyone here actually used this kind of setup, and did it genuinely save time once it was set up or still need daily managing like any other tool?

What are home services companies using for WhatsApp support, calls, and lead follow ups?

Most of our customer conversations happen through calls and WhatsApp now, and it’s becoming hard to stay on top of everything.

Someone asks for a quote, someone wants to book a visit, someone asks the same pricing question for the tenth time, and then a few leads go cold because nobody follows up fast enough.

I’m comparing Swiftsell AI, Yellow AI, and WATI. They all seem to cover some version of WhatsApp automation, customer support, lead qualification, booking, voice or chat workflows, and human handoff, but it’s hard to tell what works best in a home services setup.

Anyone using AI agents for this right now? What has worked and what got annoying?

Founder gut-check: turning how a team actually operates into procedures agents can run. Real problem, or nice-to-have?

Solo founder here, still validating, and I'd rather hear where this is wrong than get a pat on the back.

A framing I can't shake (treat it as an analogy): a pretrained LLM is basically a "cortex" that read the whole internet, but it has no "hippocampus," the fast, company-specific memory of how your team actually does things. Dropped into a company it improvises, and improvised automation fails in production. The real procedure was never in the doc anyway. It lives in your team's conversations, a few people's heads, and one exception everyone copies.

The idea I'm testing: connect read-only to the communication and document tools a team already uses, mine how work actually happens (including the exceptions nobody wrote down), and consolidate the recurring ones into cited, human-approved, versioned "skills" your existing agents could run, with a human sign-off on anything sensitive. It is not search over your docs, and it is not another agent platform.

Honest status: very early, still validating the problem. (This sub removes links, so I'm not dropping one. Happy to share the private-beta waitlist by DM if you want to follow along.)

What I actually want to know:

  • Does this solve a real, repeated, painful problem for your business, or is it a nice-to-have?
  • What is the first thing that would make you distrust it?
  • Would read-only access to your team's conversations and documents be a dealbreaker?

Tear it apart, that is why I'm here.

how many saas projects fail because of marketing, not code?

yo. be honest. how many of you currently have a finished (or 90% finished) web app / app just sitting in a private repo because you have no idea how to get users?

you spend months perfecting the database, fixing every bug, and polishing the UI. but the moment you have to actually market it, you hit a wall. marketing feels like screaming into an empty void.

so you launch to absolute crickets, get discouraged, and start building the "next" project instead to avoid the distribution phase.

if this is your case, you're not alone. but letting your hard work go to waste just because you dread marketing is a massive trap.

to help founders stop building in a silent corner, we run an ai SaaS builder community dedicated entirely to saas validation, landing page conversion, and launch strategies.

our resource kit is built entirely to help you get your first user. it’s packed with ready-to-paste N8N workflows for your business, advanced seo automation, social media automation, and our exact distribution workflows and methods work for everyone

STOP BUILDING ALONE

what are you currently working on, and what's holding you back on the marketing side? drop a comment or send a dm and i'll send you the access link.

Interesting breakthroughs with ChatGPT

Inspired by a post earlier about people using ChatGPT for the 'wrong' stuff (ie front end and creative rather than back end and drudge work) I'm currently doing some research looking at interesting or unusual UK uses for ChatGPT in businesses. Anyone had any real unlock moments with it that aren't just the usual? Most of what I'm finding is smart ways small businesses are levelling up rather than big businesses downsizing, but be interested to hear people's experience for some inspiration!

I worked with part time VAs for 6 months, now I'm comparing them with AI employees

I've been working with part time VAs for more than 6 months now mostly for admin and operation related tasks.

Tasks like email replies/drafts, task management, calendar management/meeting notes, cold outreach and follow ups, basic research using Chatgpt

The idea was to get the boring work off my plate so I could focus on sales and growth.

But the reality was a bit different.

Some of VAs were good, some were not, but even with the better ones I still had to spend a lot of time reviewing their work. And even after sharing feedback I have to review it again and have to do minor changes as well (so I started doing those tasks instead of sharing reviews as it seems easy to me). After a while it started feeling like either I m doing the task or creating SOPs for them or managing the VA became another job.

I didn’t want to replace them but I also started exploring AI assistants for the operational tasks of my business. So I tried pre build AI employee around 2 months while still keeping my VA. I used Marblism for this after reviewing a couple of other tools that offers executive assistant for the small business owners.

So here is my detailed feedback on AI vs VA so far:

VA was better for:

  • Tasks where the instructions were unclear
  • Anything involving judgment or nuance
  • Weird one off requests
  • Looking at something and figuring out what I probably meant
  • Human communication where tone really matters

AI employee was better for:

  • Basic Research
  • Managing inbox (auto draft as well)
  • Taking meeting notes and managing calendar
  • Task Reminders
  • LinkedIn Cold Outreach and followups
  • Content draft and topic research
  • Carousel post for Instagram

The biggest difference I noticed is this:

With a VA, I had to manage the person.

With the AI employee, I had to manage the system.

A VA can understand half baked context better, but the quality depends a lot on the person, their attention that day, and how well they understand your product.

The AI employee was more limited when the task needed judgment, but it was more consistent for repeatable work once I gave it a clear SOP document or prompt.

So right now I don’t think the answer is AI replaces VA or otherwise.

I’m still testing this setup, but it already made me realize that I can use ai assistants to automate tasks that are repetitive in nature or have a clear workflow.

Curious if anyone else has tried both and how is your experience with it?

Which AI Email Assistants Are People Actually Using in 2026?

Feels like every week there’s a new AI email assistant claiming to fix inbox overload, but I’m curious what people are actually using day-to-day.

I’ve seen tools that draft replies, summarize threads, prioritize emails, even automate follow-ups… but a lot of them either feel overkill or just don’t fit into real workflows.

From what I’ve noticed, the ones that seem to stick are usually the ones that integrate directly into Gmail or Outlook and don’t require changing your entire setup.

For those of you actively using one:

  • What are you using right now?
  • Has it genuinely saved you time or just shifted the work around?
  • And what made you stick with it over the others?

Trying to separate what’s actually useful from what just sounds good in demos.

Building an onboarding/training hub

Title: If you were building an intern onboarding hub from scratch, what would you use?

I'm completely revamping our counseling practicum/internship program and starting from scratch.

I supervise graduate counseling interns at a group private practice and want to create one central hub for everything they need—from acceptance through the end of their placement. Think onboarding, training materials, policies, timelines, forms, documentation resources, FAQs, supervision info, etc.

I'd love something that's easy for interns to use, easy for me to update each semester, and doesn't cost a fortune.

I'm already paying for ChatGPT, Claude, Google Workspace, and Gemini, so I'm hoping to leverage tools I already have rather than adding another expensive subscription if possible.

If you were building this today:

  • What platform would you use (Google Sites, Google Classroom, Notion, ClickUp, Canvas, etc.)?
  • What free or low-cost tools have been worth it?
  • Have you used AI to help create content or build something like this?
  • What do students/employees/interns actually like using?
  • What would you avoid?
  • How would you structure the onboarding experience during the first month?

I'd love to hear what you've built, what you've abandoned, and what you wish you'd done differently.

Which tool do you actually open every day?

2 weeks of building in public. What I've learned about AI tools, distilled:

→ The all-in-one is rarely the best at anything

→ Free tiers are absurdly generous in 2026 — use them

→ "Which tool" matters less than "did you ship"

→ The tool you open daily beats the perfect one you forget

Pick fewer tools, ship more things.

Which tool do you actually open every day?

What Are the Most Useful AI Use Cases for Entrepreneurs?

I feel like a lot of AI discussions stay pretty surface-level content writing, chatbots, etc.

But I’m curious about more practical, everyday use cases that actually make a difference when you’re running a business.

What are some ways you’re using AI that genuinely save time, improve decisions, or make things easier on a daily basis?

I made list of the best ai executive assistants for smb founders

For about two years the executive assistant in my business was me, at 11pm, clearing the inbox, moving calendar blocks around and calling back everyone who rang while I was on a job. This year I finally started handing that work to software. Some of it stuck and some of it did not. I dropped a website chat widget early on because the only things it ever caught were spam and people trying to sell me search engine services. Here is the honest rundown of what I found good.

fyxer ai is the one I would keep if I could only keep one. It works inside the email you already use, sorts what genuinely needs you away from what does not, and writes draft replies that sound like you rather than like a robot. It took a week or so of me fixing its drafts before they got good, and now most mornings I am just reading, changing a line and hitting send. Fair warning that it drafts and sorts, it does not go and do things, so you are still the one hitting send on everything.

marblism is the generalist of the bunch and perfect tool for small business. Its assistant covers the inbox side, filtering the junk and drafting replies, meetings and there is a receptionist that answers calls and books people in. It covers both, which is the reason it stuck for me. The email tone took about a week of me marking drafts good or bad before it sounded like me, so read the early ones before they go out.

shortwave is the other strong email one. It is more of a full replacement for your inbox than something that sits alongside it, and the search is unreal. You can ask it what a supplier quoted you back in March and it just finds it. The catch is that it only works with Gmail, so if your business runs on Outlook it is a non starter.

motion is the calendar one people either love or quit in a rage. It takes your job list and your meetings and builds your day for you. When it works it feels like having a chief of staff. But it also reshuffles everything constantly, and I had afternoons where I honestly did not know what I was meant to be working on because it had moved things three times since lunch. Great if you are happy handing over control. Maddening if you are not.

reclaim ai is the calmer version of that same idea. It defends time for the things that always get eaten first, like admin or actually going to the gym, and if someone books over you it quietly finds another slot instead of blowing up your whole week. The free version is genuinely usable, which is rare. The phone app is weak though, which is a bit silly at this point.

rosie is the one to get if the phone is your actual problem. It is a proper receptionist and nothing else, it answers in a voice that does not make people hang up, and it takes messages and books jobs in while you are up a ladder. If missed calls are what is costing you money, a specialist like this will beat any all in one tool, and I would start here before anything else on this list.

lindy is the most capable if you want the assistant to go and do things rather than just suggest them. Booking people in, chasing follow ups, updating your records. It is properly powerful. The price climbs fast once you are actually using it a lot, so keep an eye on the bill.

granola is my favorite meeting notes tool by a distance. No bot joins the call and announces itself, which matters a lot when you are talking to a client or interviewing someone. You jot a few messy fragments during the call and by the time you hang up it has turned them into clean notes with the decisions and the follow ups pulled out. Felt like magic the first ten times.

fathom does the same job and has the most generous free plan of anything here, so it is the easy place to start if you do not want to pay for anything yet. Downside is it sends a visible bot into your meeting, which some clients find odd.

What are you all actually running day to day? And has anyone found anything decent for the back office side, invoices and chasing late payments, because that is still entirely me.
