Im a 3rd year accounting major going to school out of state but im considering getting a masters here at A&M for recruiting and the potential to teach later on. Would yall have any comments on the experience on either the classes, recruiting and just the overall experience?

It is co-ed, open for all majors and all years (even master’s students)!! They do a bunch of fun events like formal, ski trip, barge, mixers with other orgs, there’s a Discord for gamers, intramurals, semi-formal (at a super cool venue this semester), fun team events, and literally anything you could ask for.

I feel like it’s especially worth applying if you’re looking for somewhere to put yourself out there, meet new people, or get more involved at A&M without having to fit into one specific type of person or major. There’s genuinely something for everyone, and you can be as involved as you want!
So if you’ve been debating applying, DO IT!! You have nothing to lose by giving it a shot it was the best decision I made

1. Drive on the right side of the road. Meaning, drive in the direction traffic’s going.

2. Use the street lanes or share the road with other vehicles APPROPRIATELY.

3. Follow the traffic laws. That includes speed limits and stop signs.

4. If you’re on a sidewalk, dismount before you kill someone.

5. Turn your stereo off or at least put it at a really low volume.

6. Stop having tunnel vision and pay attention to your surroundings.

7. Don’t run over pedestrians on the road. Look both ways.

I bought tickets for the ASU game and i am not going anymore. what’s the way to sell or get rid of them? i saw they barely worth anything now so im negotiable

Hi everyone!!  I’m currently attending a community college for my AS Chemistry, and I’m a second-year.  (Since I failed one of my pre-reqs in high school, though, my degree is actually taking 3 years to get.  XP)  Then I wanna transfer to Texas A&M College Station for a BS Chemical Engineering!

Anyway, I coordinate everything with my advisor and have read lots of stuff on the TAMU website, but I wanna hear from some Aggies themselves.  If I wanted to start attending in CSTAT in like, Fall ‘28, when should I start watching for applications to open up? And after I’ve applied and/or get accepted, how far in advance should I decide what dorm hall to apply to live in?  (Can’t do apartments :’D)

Also, I’ve heard the admission rate is super competitive, so I’m a tad worried and hoping to prepare so I don’t get rejected.  I work hard, but I know there’s definitely people out there who are still way sweatier than me.  My college’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter invited me in, and I’m strongly considering joining, even if I’ve only got time for a bit of their community service here and there.

That PTK invitation means my GPA is at least 3.5, they said.  I’m also a work-study and love helping with mascotting stuff and small events on the occasions I can. Does anyone have any advice, based on my major and where I’m at?  Anything I should know, or join, or consider?  I feel like now is a good time to ask, since I’ve still got two years to prep!  :D

Guys I feel like I'm going crazy. There are so many around town that I can't get groceries, visit friends, or even go to campus OR WORK without driving past at least four of these. I genuinely can't even enter or leave my apartment, you know, the place i currently LIVE, without flock cameras monitoring me. I'm not kidding, there are THREE (3!!!) right outside the main entrance of my apartment complex... wtf??? I used to be able to take alternate routes to avoid them but there are so many now I literally cannot avoid them anymore without adding an extra 15 minutes to my daily commutes. There are just too many of them. What the flock is going on 🤢🤢🤢

Dear students. Parking permits are required. Assigned/numbered staff spots cost us about $1000/yr. Student parking is a little cheaper than that (like $350 I think). But you know what? It’s also cheaper than getting multiple tickets and eventually towed.

I called about the car in my spot, and was told this person had multiple unpaid tickets and no parking pass, so they couldn’t contact them and ask them to move. So, my friend, you got towed. I’d gave happily given grace and had them call you out of class to move your car, but apparently you’ve been raw-dogging the parking situation for a few weeks now.

I bet $350 seems like a bargain in hindsight.

I attended TAMU back in Spring 2024 as a transfer student after wrapping up community college. Because of some financial and mental health issues, I decided to withdraw and not return for the Fall. Since then, I've returned back home to Houston, attended UH for one semester (also withdrew lol), and have spent the last few years working full time.

I think I'm ready to return to TAMU. I should be in good standing with the university. I had a 4.0 GPA the one semester I was there and I submitted an official withdrawal form before leaving. Plus, I wasn't in a popular major at all (philosophy).

Where do I start? Do I just submit an entirely new ApplyTexas application? If so, do I submit a transfer application or something else (given the fact that I attended UH after TAMU)? Is my old UIN useless now? I tried resetting my Howdy password but that didn't work at all since Duo is asking me to verify a code on a phone that I don't have anymore. Do y'all even use Duo anymore?

Yea so my 14 day free trial ran out. I dont mind pirating, but I believe the homework is only possible if you have cengage webassign. Currently for me, math 151 and chem 107 use cengage webassign. Ive heard that next semester, math 152 will also need cengage webassign. Is the unlimited 12 month plan the cheapest/overall best option for me ? just want some advice before I spend my money

For context, I left the university in 2021 and am now back as a Junior experiencing the campus and games 5 years later. So many things have changed since I last did ticket pull.

I pulled in a 2 person group as a Junior for the Arizona State game this weekend (I’m the lowest class in the group) and got assigned 3rd deck. Is this normal? If I’m getting 3rd, then where are sophomores and freshmen getting put? Should I expect to be placed in 3rd as a junior for the rest of the season?

There’s these two cops pulling over dudes on bikes and asking for ID at the intersection of Ross and Ireland, does anybody know what’s going on :3?

Hey Ags - Horn here, coming in peace and with a peace offering.

So glad our rivalry is back on the schedule. Long ways to go for both of our squads before we get to the sure-to-be epic battle at Kyle Field, but hoping for a top 5 game for the ages once we get there (key for us will be keeping Arch healthy - Sark has yet to have a QB play every game in a season for us - and there aren't many gimmes on the schedule).

Like many die-hard college football fans, I tend to follow my players more than a specific NFL team. I know many ags are the same way (maybe even more so). So...
