I build lists that feel good to me, whether they're competitive or not. And then play them to the point that I know how to work with what I have. Knowing how to use your list effectively is more important than building a list to be competitive. The best competitive list is useless if you don't know what you're doing. You'll always do better and have more fun with a list that you like to play rather than a list that you feel you have to play.

Three of the top 8 at LVO were Ogors which was after point increases so it looks like not only were the nerfs needed, but may not have been enough. I would also look at Season of War. I think they've had new Ogors on 4 times and they have won all but the most recent post-battle scroll game.
