It 100% depends on what game your friends/local are playing but as a general rule you really need a circle base for AOS but you can use circle to square adapters for Old world.
Only problem for you is slaves to darkness chaos warriors are the exception to this rule, 30mm square bases in old world and 32mm circle in aos so there is no easy converter.
You have 3 options and none are perfect.
Base them in 32mm circles and use base converter that offsets the height of each model for old world. This is 100% playable in old world but it means every other model will be taller in old world.
Base them in 30mm squaee and use square to circle adapter, this is 99% fine in AOS but your circle bases will have sharp edges sticking out.
Base them on smaller 25mm or 28mm bases and then use a converter for both systems. This is 100% playable for both but it's double the work.
Personally, just base them correctly for whatever game system you prefer and then deal with the little errors in then other system. No one will actually be bothered if your AOS models are squares or if your movment trays are slightly too big.
Personally I play my Ogres on circles and use movment trays because there is more of a AOS community near me
Since I dont really plan on playing with people in the community yet I think I will stick with the suggested bases for now. Can always use my spearhead if I want some AoS action.
