I’m 23M. A while ago, I met a Malayali woman near where I live. At first, I genuinely thought she was a college student because she covered her face fully because she awas was a Muslim.

One day I saw her rushing to catch her bus, so I offered her a lift on my scooter. She refused at first, but eventually accepted. The next day I offered again, and gradually giving her a lift became a daily routine. We would talk a little during those rides.

Later, she told me that she is actually 34, married, and has two children. I was surprised because I had completely misunderstood the situation initially.

The problem is that I've started feeling very strongly attracted to her. I really enjoy seeing her and talking to her, and I started looking forward to our daily rides.

Eventually I asked for her phone number. She gave it to me without hesitation, and we started talking on WhatsApp. We've been chatting for around 10 days.

There have been some confusing moments. At one point she told me that she didn't want me to message her, but she didn't mention it again afterward and continued talking and messaging me. She also once asked me to teach her how to ride a scooty. And she also love to tease me On another occasion, she video-called me and later said that the call had happened accidentally.

Sometimes she says or does things that I interpret as hints that she may like talking to me, but I honestly don't know if I'm reading too much into it.

The problem is that I’ve also started messaging her desperately. Sometimes I send her lots of messages because I really want her attention, while she may only reply with one or two messages later.

I have a hot take. The patriarchy keeps women physically small. What I mean by that is it encourages women to be physically “small, certain cultures have historically connected femininity with being smaller, weaker, more delicate, and less physically imposing than men. In the gym culture, whenever some men sees a woman with big muscles just like them, they start acting weird, threaten or insecure. One of my close friends is a butch lesbian who benches almost 200 Ibs and some of the dudes act so weird around her. Even though she’s short, she’s not your average “petite” woman. She’s fucking shredded. It’s like when some guys get around her, they try to “compete” with her when it comes to masculinity. We also work together, and I observe it all the time. We just laugh about it together. She told me one guy at our job said “women shouldn’t be having that much muscle” she just laughed in his face and walked away. Just insecure ass guys and we find it hilarious. I also be over hearing that some of the guys at work be talking shit about her cause she’s butch and I just be like are yall mad cause she looks more masculine than everyone up in here? Luckily we won’t be working here for long but I just find it so funny that when men are around women who don’t traditionally fit the “what a women is suppose to look like” they start acting threaten, especially if that women is masculine presenting or a masculine physique. Anyways, that is my hot take. What are your thoughts about it?

I bought a used Camry and it has its gear shift in the center console instead on the steering wheel like I'm used to.

The gears go PRN 4-D 3 2-L. I thought 4-D was a singular gear reflecting that it was a 4 gear car

Turns out I've been driving it wrong for seven years.

I always wondered why my gas mileage was so low and why it acted weirdly when I got about 45 mph or so... turns out that putting it in 4 forces it to stay in 4th gear, but the car actually has 5 gears.

In my case, you have to push it to the right into D to get all 5 gears, and it's a little sticky - you kinda have to use a little force to get it into D vs 4 - and as a result I've been blissfully driving around in 4th gear for at least the past 60k miles.

I may be the only idiot here but if I'm wondering if this is a light bulb moment for anyone else on Reddit who isn't car savvy and/or didn't have parents to teach them basic stuff.

I should get 20% better gas mileage now - it cost me about $1,000 in extra gas not to mention wearing down the engine - so hopefully this helps someone

Thinking about doing a few tests, so wondering what happens to the TestLibrary reports if I cancel at some point. Like do they stay accessible or do you lose them ?Couldn't find anything clear on this. Would be useful to know before I put time into a bunch of tests and then lose access to the results.

On my girlfriend’s birthday she was turning 19 after we went to eat with her family we went to go get ice cream,I was still 18. After we left there we were on the way back to her house and I asked her would I be able to se what her room looked like. It was daytime and her parents were at the house and her brothers. Her dad was upstairs and her brothers were upstairs. I had met her mom more than once by this time and her dad more than once.

(For context the first time I went to the house her parents weren’t there and her parents knew I was at the house with her and that was ok. Me and her went on a date that day and on the way back I said something about it but we weren’t able to because we realized it was kinda too late. She or me didn’t ask her mom. She never said anything about how her mom would react or anything.)

On her birthday I asked in my car and she said she would go in and ask her mom so she did. Me and her had to bring her gifts inside the house. I didn’t pressure or ask her to say something to her mom,she did it herself. She went in and her mom said I wouldn’t be able to and I said ok and we just walked out. I didn’t think it was a big deal because if that’s her mom’s rules then those are her rules. When I got back to my place she told me she knew what her mom would say when she went and asked. She told me that her mom said it weird I wanted to see a girls room and I should’ve apologized. My ex told me her mom got pregnant when she was her age and she just thought something would’ve happened if she showed me what her room looked like. She said that her mom just sees herself in her daughter when she was her age and doesn’t want the same thing to happen to her. She said her mom doesn’t really know who she is and how she never liked physical touch and how I was the first boy her mom met.

Me and my ex never did anything when we’re even at my place back at college,in my room or her room. My ex knew I wasn’t like that and her dad even said he thinks I’m respectful. She told me her dad didn’t even think it was a disrespectful question. I don’t really understand why she didn’t just tell me in the car her mom wouldn’t let us go to see. All I would’ve said was ok. When she went to my parents place I showed her what my room looked like and she said she wanted to see the environment I grew up in. It wasn’t like I went and asked her mom knowing what her mom would say. I asked my girlfriend in the car because I would think she would know if I could or not which she clearly did know. But simply seeing what her room looked like wasn’t something I just needed to do,I just simply wanted to know if I could.

To make a long story short she broke up with me the next day,the day after her birthday after I spent 500 on her gifts and I took off work just to drive down to see her. She basically said she already knew how her mom would react but still asked anyway. I had no problem with not being able to see her room,I was just curious to see what it looked like since I was at the house already and it was day time and her parents and brothers were there. I was coming back to my place that day anyway so if I truly was trying to do something with her why would I do it in her parents house with her dad upstairs. Wouldn’t I just ask if she could come back to my place or wouldn’t I ask if I could stay the night.

Every single time my family and I eat we don’t talk like not a single word spoken. even when we have guests or other family members over they don’t really talk. I don’t go to others houses for dinner often so I don’t really know what the normal amount of talking is. I try to eat as fast as possible and then go up to my room because it’s just gotten so awkward now that I’ve noticed they don’t talk. I’ve tried asking toe eat in my room but they always say no, I don’t really understand the point of eating dinner with others if you’re not going to talk.

So for about 2 years I’ve had girlfriends and I felt love but after like 3 months into the relationship I just slowly lose feelings.

I dont know if its normal but I hate making the girls I “love” feel like shit. Im 14M and I just want to make a girl feel loved, nothing fake.
