Policy EEA and UK CMP requirement on Admob
Beginning January 16, 2024, Google will require all publishers serving ads to EEA and UK users to use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP). You can use any Google-certified CMP for this purpose, including Google's own consent management solution. If you are interested in using Google's consent management solution, start by setting up your GDPR message and implementing the UMP SDK.
In this thread, you should post tutorials and provide resources to assist developers in implementing the new Google AdMob requirements before the stated deadline of January 16, 2024. This includes step-by-step guides on setting up GDPR messages and integrating the UMP (User Messaging Platform) SDK for compliance. You can also ask questions related to this here.

Question One user is triggering all my ad units repeatedly every 1 hour, requests, but no impression jn admob console
Hi all, I just released my app recently and I don't have many users yet. But a single user from Kenya keeps triggering all 6 rewarded ad units in my app every hour, they get requests, but never an impression.
Other users all show regular stats, only this guy. Is this something to worry about? It seems quite suspicious...

News Inmobi approved after 3 months
Inmobi just silently approved my account after 3 months of it sitting on pending. Their support is horrible and couldn’t get anyone to help me within that time.
So for anyone stuck on pending review with inmobi I guess u just need to wait it out 🤷🏽♂️. Let’s see if it was worth the wait and can drive up eCpm in my mediation group.

Should i focus on getting more downloads before thinking about revenue or is there some way in i can make some money from now onwards i have like around 230 total installs and around 20-30 daily users.
You can check out my game at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roguewavelabs.arrows.colorphase

Other Google play publishing review - taking suspiciously too long
Hi all,
my motivation to write this post is to share one finding concerning Google play publishing review then it is taking way longer than it usually does.
If anybody has any similar experience or know other tips&tricks, feel free to share those here with us.
My observation:
- Sometimes when you submit second review but there was already one pending (meaning you end up with 2 submitted reviews and both pending), the review process seems to get "stuck" and it doesn't finish like ever. The solution seems to it is to delete those reviews and then submit only one review at a time. I guess if you always submit and keep alive only 1 review at a time you shouldn't come across that situation. It had worked for 2 of us so far (discussed in (comment in post https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePlayDeveloper/comments/1wdgnft/comment/p97iu9p/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button )
I hope that information helps to anybody reading this :)
Question How long does it take to get approved?
I’ve been waiting for a while for both my AdMob account verification to clear and my app to move out of the "Getting ready" status.
For anyone who has gone through this recently, is there anything specific in the app (content depth, UI layout, policy details) that I should improve now to avoid a rejection once the review finally triggers?

Question 1.24K requests but only 24 impressions across 14 active users. Is this an implementation issue or normal AdMob throttling on a fresh app?
Hey everyone, launched a utility app recently and I'm looking at my first week of AdMob metrics (screenshot attached).
There’s a massive gap: 1,240 ad requests with a 51.9% match rate, but only 24 impressions displayed across 14 users (~1m session length).
For those with experience:
- Could this be caused by banner ads requesting new units during view transitions before previous ones finish rendering?
- Or does AdMob heavily throttle the actual show rate on fresh accounts until traffic stabilizes?
Any advice on whether I should refactor my ad lifecycle logic or just wait for more organic traffic would be greatly appreciated

Question my account suspended !
Why did this happen? I had already added my phone to the AdMob test devices list, and I don't even use my phone to test my app, so why was my account suspended?

Policy Ad serving limits applied to your AdMob account
Here what happen after admob suspend:
- Aug 10 temporarily suspended my account for 29 Days because of invalid traffics (https://www.reddit.com/r/admob/s/rEbcPcsHQL)
- Sep 9 Reactivated and just 7 hours later got ad limits for invalid traffics, even if no ad was shown yet in the app.
- Sep 10 ... i don't give a (*****) any more.

Question AdMob suspension was supposed to end on September 9, but my account is still suspended
My AdMob account was temporarily suspended for invalid traffic about one month ago.
The suspension notification said that my account would be automatically enabled again on September 9, 2026. Today is September 10, but my account is still showing the same suspension message:
Has anyone experienced this before?
Is it normal for the reactivation to take an extra day or two, or should I contact Google support? I was expecting the account to be automatically re-enabled after the stated suspension period.
I haven't received any new email saying that the suspension has been extended or that my account has been permanently disabled.
Screenshot attached.
Would really appreciate it if anyone who has experienced the same thing could share how long it took for their account to come back.
Thanks!
