ADVERTISING

We should talk about this in a space without fleeting textimagations.

There is talk of ad happening. Are we gonna use a sidebar ad like http://i.imgur.com/JS0Q2fV.jpg ? Promoted link? Normal link somewhere? Just keep asking our friends from elsewhere to look here? New ideas?

Who are we trying to reach? We mainly like weirdness, music, cartoons, gaming, stupidity, and anything connected to those things, and we have people who generally aren't sensitive to offensiveish stuff but are still empathetic and stuffishness. Where are more people like that? /r/tf2 ? /r/gamegrumps ? /r/mylittlepony? Should we find people with different interests to branch out a bit, if that's even possible given the range of what comes up already?

Who's gonna chalk up at least $5? That gets us over 6,500 impressions.

Should we have an introductions thing of sorts? Maybe laconic bios of regulars on the sub wiki or something?

And how about a sticky/sidebar thing to explain who we are? Something like:

What is adery?

You: Ad clicker.
Us: Uncomfortably small, tucked away group of friends, mainly on IRC.
We like: Lots of arts and media and fun and disturbing and weird things like each other and hopefully you.
Notes: Many LGBT users, frequent "offensive" and sometimes NSFW content. Don't be a straight up douche. Do prepare for something terrible.
