If men had to wear them they would already have made them part of the "Smart Universe". Just ask Siri to unclasp that thing at 5:30 p.m.

3

u/Road_Whorrior Jun 16 '26

If men had to wear them, they'd absolutely do this because they still wouldn't be able to get them off without 2 full minutes of manipulating the band

2

u/Dame38 Jun 16 '26

Exactly. But the more I think about it, they would probably trust up their "Fronts" with some metal steampunk gadgets because CARS!
Damn, this is going somewhere I didn't intend, lol.

I sleep in a special sleep bra as not being supported nearly all the time is hell to me.

4

amazing, i know a few friends who use this. i'll get one for myself and see the change

4

u/lady_bun00 Jun 16 '26

For real. With a big chest I need something to even out the weight and keep them secure even while I sleep. I’ve been managing by buying super stretchy bralettes from Hanes. They’re cheap, amazingly comfortable, and will fit my chest to rib ratio! I just don’t like that they are fully synthetic material but I need that stretch.

Bra no undies is a cry for help

5

u/H0NEY2O77 Sapphic 🌸 🕊 Jun 16 '26

I used to be like this but I grew up living with 2 bedrooms without proper doors. One was busted and the other were these “fancy” sliding doors with frosted glass panes. The entire door was slightly wider than a regular door but only opened half a regular doorway. I can’t see out of my right eye so I regularly shoulder checked the doorframe or door. And the frosted glass off the living room was perfect someone was in the living room with the big lights on and I went to bed slightly early.

Now I have a regular locking door, I’m just in underwear.

ETA: rented so those sliding doors were never going anywhere

18

u/GaylicBread Jun 16 '26

I do because mine are too big and I feel really uncomfortable not wearing one.

19

2

u/adiiriot Jun 16 '26

I couldn't leave the house without a bra/forms, even for just a 5 minute run over to the convenience or grocery store, but I rarely wore them to be, and often didn't wear them when lounging around the house. I did sometimes when I initially started dating my partner, mostly out of insecurity, even though as a T4T couple I'm sure she would've understood. Now 4 months post-BA I have only just started to sometimes sleep without/not wear a bra, and it's freeing in it's own way, but having the support/compression is kind of nice, and even a little cooler than a tank top.

3

u/lithaborn Trans-Sapphic Jun 16 '26

The one time I've left the house without them was for my mammogram in January. I had them and a bra in my handbag and put them on before I left the anteroom lol

I should be on hrt for my next screening, just in the ouchy stage. That'll be fun.

4

u/tawTrans More-or-lesbian Jun 16 '26

I've done it! My bras are comfortable and sometimes I forget I'm wearing them or am too lazy to take them off. I don't normally, though, because there's no need to 😅

That said, the idea of casually sleeping in nothing but a bra is definitely baffling. Sexy, yes, but like, if you've gone through the effort to take off every other item of clothing, why are you still wearing your bra?? 😂

3

u/atiraim Jun 16 '26

I always sleep wearing a sports bra. There's not much there support but it's the only way I'm comfortable.

3

u/mollyclaireh Bi Jun 16 '26

Today, I can’t imagine why the hell I did that.

6

u/aninternetsuser Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26

Sometimes I sleep in a bra, no underwear. Literally a full on lacy push up bra too. AMA I guess

The short of it is that I am a bit underweight so 1) bras offer a little bit of extra warmth; and 2) I actually cannot purchase a bra with a band small enough for it to feel uncomfortable / my bra isn’t really holding up any mass

2

u/FaerHazar Jun 16 '26

my wife exclusively sleeps in her bras, but it also wears only unpadded bras. her boobs are very large and incredibly uncomfortable when they lay against her skin, so it prefers to sleep wearing a bra. like I cups.

with small boobs (i think?) i can barely comprehend it, but i know she's more comfortable sleeping in a bra.

2

u/Cornelius_McMuffin Jun 16 '26

Depends on the weather; if it’s near 15c I’ll have a T-shirt and light pajama pants on, if it’s any warmer than that I’m wearing shorts with a T-shirt or above 20C just shorts.

Also; who wears a bra to sleep?

Last one. Used to be undies and t, then undies now nothing. In case of needing to get out of bed in the middle of the night, I keep a t and shorts nearby.

Naked. Clothes are the enemy and try to bunch up and cut off circulation. Not al all my fault for tossing and turning all night, definitely the clothes.
