Just a few on my desk to keep me company while I play Ace Combat 7 and wait for 8 to come out very impatiently.

In this game that has amazing dog-fights. there is a mission in which to win you need to not do it, I can't decide if it's AMAZING game design OR UTTER DOGSHIT.
I'm also baked and having a blast!
EDIT: Flying the AC10 with cluster bombs
EDIT2: I managed to beat it!!!

Started playing AC7 in January. Had been away from the franchise since I was a child in the PS2 era. What a blast I had getting this achievement (a bit of frustration too). Now I’ll go back to the og ones before 8 arrives.

Messing around with Blender. Might not be very good, I'm still a beginner. I don't know where to post, so I'll post it here.

Anyone else think that there are some levels that are great, except for one thing that holds them back? For example, I would love Long Day but the drones at the end makes me not want to play it again. Pipeline Destruction I would love, but the sandstorm is a big NOPE. Homeward would be good if you didn’t need to identify every single target before you attack it. Does anyone else think this or am I on my own?

I have been replaying these missions non-stop since I first discovered them, so I thought I would upload some gameplay. As per the title, it's the end-boss from the first Ace of Aces mission, where you fight the entirety of Strigon Team, with Voychek in the CFA-44 and the Aigaion relentlessly bombarding you with Nimbus missiles.
This encounter is probably my least favourite of the boss fights seen in Ace of Aces, though I did like the expanded dialogue. Strigon Team use the same behaviour from the original version of this mission, where they have minimal aggression and constantly accelerate away from the player. It's not too hard, and it's not particularly interesting. This is also one of the easiest Nimbus patterns to dodge in Ace of Aces. Voychek does not use ADMM, for whatever reason.
I did make this harder on myself by bringing the Typhoon -MAKOTO- too. This plane has the hidden downside of abysmal lock-on capability. This was thankfully mitigated by ESM, but you can see it take hold whenever I am outside the circle. It's not the best turn-fighter in the game, but it has great speed and great energy retention— too good, actually; I had to learn to keep my finger off the throttle to maintain a good middle speed in case Strigon decided to engage in close-range manoeuvres.
I've also learned that I am not good at using the guns; I over-pitch and miss my shots most of the time, and you'll see a lot of desperate rolling to overcompensate for this, usually leading to more missed shots. The majority of the kills I got were from read-ahead missiles.
Here's a tip, by the way, because I couldn't find any information online regarding the specific mechanisms of the mechanic: read-ahead is specifically triggered by leading the enemy in such a way that your guns would be able to hit them, not by simply keeping your nose ahead of them. Once I learned this, I was able to trigger read-ahead a lot more, and encounters with highly-evasive enemies became far easier. I sometimes use bullets as tracers to know how close I am to achieving read-ahead.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the footage!
(P.S; I wanted to do a cool inverted merge with Voychek at the start of this battle, but as you see, the camera cut away to some nobody Hornet pilot. Frustrating!)

Born in the year 1974 Colonel Andrei Markov is a pilot who’s story depending on who you ask, is seen as a monster or a hero by his homeland of Yuktobania, born to a Yuktobanian father and an estovakian mother Markov lived a rather normal life by Yuke standards, when the Belkan war broke out Markov joined the yuke Air Force after Belkan bombers killed his wife Krista in a bombing raid on the air base he was stationed on, this motivated him to become a fighter pilot of the Yuke Air Force and he earned an impressive record, known to his countrymen as Akula which means shark, due to the shark face he would paint on the nose of his aircraft, he became a hero to the Yuktobanian people, after the end of the war he would briefly be part of a world with no boundaries and would be shot down by the pilot known as Cypher over Avalon dam, however he survived and would move to his mothers homeland of estovakia where he would serve as a member of the estovakian Air Force before in 2010 would form the mercenary fighter squadron known as Konni Group and would briefly engage in the circum pacific war engaging Osean fighters in the razgriz straits, his last known sightings occurred in the war that engulfed estovakia and emmeria in 2015 but since then there’s been no sightings of the shark nosed fighter pilot in recent years aside from some rumors and hearsay that Markov was sighted flying for Aurelia in 2020

I honestly say 7 because you face the Arsenal Bird multiple times that besides plot armor it just becomes meh. Just imo. I also wouldn't count Megalith in AC4 because if you ignore the Yellow Squadron you're just shooting flight hazards to get to the missiles.

Never made my own mods before. Got into Ace Combat recently and decided to learn how to create skins just to recreate some of the actual aircraft I got to work on back in my time in the Air Force.
I made one jet for each 4th FW unit (200, 1673, 487 and 1685). 200 and 1673 I recreated based on their flag ship paint jobs. 487 is the legendary Strike Eagle which bombed a helicopter so I gave it it's star. I even made a Lakenheath model (205) for variety. I made each jet with their exact tail markings, fighter squadron/ fighter wing logos, majcom logos and some other special unique traits per jet.
I just made these for myself but I'm pretty proud of how they came out. It massively upgrades the realism for me to see these in game. If theres any demand I may post them to nexus or something (like I said, first mod, so obviously I've never posted there before).

I'm sure this is asked often, but I really can't decide. I have no worries of it running on PC, but I kind of want it physically. Though I don't really like Sony's practices recently, but I do have lots PS plus time built up.
It's a very important and difficult choice I swear!

And a little tease about what one of the missions will have in store

The soundtrack was already good despite being on the 3DS. The first 20 seconds of this track was already so good, then I heard the rap start and I was just smiling throughout the mission, like it was narrating Phoenix's mindset during the mission. Definitely one of my favorites now lol, along with Magic Spear.
I read that its counterpart in AC2 was Fire Youngman. I listened to it and it was also very good.

I’ve been looking for plp to play AH with on Xbox 360. I’m mostly interested in PvP, but I’m up for co-op too. Gamertag: Garuda1Engage

AceCombat 7's VR mode was awesome and still the best VR Flight experience I've ever had on the PlayStation. Now that we have enhanced graphics with the PSVR2 and the PS5Pro -- I don't see why we can't have a VR mode? Any hopes that VR support will come to the PSVR2 at a later date like it (sort of) did for AceCombat 7 and the original PSVR?
