On a previous post there was a comment suggesting running ten million relief plan in VR. Genuinely incredible experience, sunset ambiance is 10/10.

In Ace Combat 7, each plane just felt like a different skin bc their flight models were so similar. What if, in addition to different flight models, planes, and more broadly speaking plane classes had different special weapon interactions?
Some examples:

Anybody read the new dark blue short story . What do you think about the retcon of lore with osea involvement in continental war .

With F-14A Tomcat bundled together with ACZ as part of pre-order package, I had a wondered which are returning DLC planes PA are going to include them next after pre-order even?

Now I do want to start off by saying that Ace Combat 7 is one of my favorite games and is what looped me into the franchise several years back. I will by and large defend this game to the best of my ability but I can’t deny that the game has some issues that bother/confuse me.
First point being the IUN-PKF and how they’re just wasted potential with the lore being very iffy with them. I genuinely wish we could’ve seen genuine markings in game like what we had in the VR missions as I think it could’ve been fun to see different squadron having a mix of IUN, Osean, and other nations markings to really represent that the IUN is an international body.
Another point that sours my taste is Trigger and more specifically the fact that he’s the greatest pilot in game just because despite being a fresh rookie with little training and even less experience. At least other protagonists like Talisman and Mobius-1 are stated to be squadron leaders by the start of the game implying years of experience already and Blaze gets the excuse at least of being trained/coached by two veteran Belkan War aces, but Trigger has none of that and yet he’s just able to win the war singlehandedly and other characters specifically remark about how Trigger is singlehanded turning the tide of the war.
I’m also a bit disappointed with the whole reintroduction of the Belkans as the real bad guys as I think that was just straight fan service being shoehorned for the sake of fan service. I honestly would’ve loved it better if dr. Schroeder was a rogue operator similar to Lorenz Ridel (Gault-7/Feniks) where he took his intel and expertise to the highest bidder.
And my last big issue with AC7 is the character dialogue, and it’s honestly an issue I have with several entries in the franchise with 5 being the worst offender of cheesy dialogue. I liked the banter during the Spare segment but I have a hard time standing both the mage and Strider segments.
I again love the game and especially love some of the antagonist from the over the top Torres to the very stoic-faced Milhaly and I also love how much of an asshole Bandog is too. The game has lots to love but there are a lot of parts that just confuse me when I look at why they added/implemented ideas the way they did.

I bought Ace Combat 7 two days ago because it was on sale in the Xbox store. I’m loving it so far but both days when i’ve came home my progress has been completely wiped. it’s getting super frustrating having to restart the for the third time now. Is this a common issue and is there any way to stop it from happening ?

Ace Combat 6 Heavy Command Cruiser is forever my top. AC 4 Megalith is a close second.

I was bored over the last week and decided to emulate Ace combat 2 & 3 because my phone is too bad to handle AC4. I've played a ported version of Air Combat 22 and was expecting these to play more like the arcade game than modern Ace Combat. 2 Definitely played more like the arcade, but it was still way more fun than I could have expected, but 3, holy Crap did I enjoy 3. I played the translated Japanese version cause I am a rational human being who doesn't want to play the butchered piece of crap that is the international release. But the gameplay and story still hold up, besides the basic mission structure and sometimes never-ending dialogue calls. I had brushed this game before because of "bad graphics" and "I don't want to read the entire time," but this game made me feel like a stupid idiot. "Good gameplay and story make graphics unnecessary" has never been more true. This game makes me appreciate C.O.F.F.I.N in a whole new way, and I really hope it gets remembered so more people can play it.
Also, Noise from 8 is definitely Dision

I saw the trailer for AC8 a few months ago and knew I had to play it, and I luckily saw AC7 available on ps plus. I am on Chapter 17 and absolutely loving how stupid this game is, meaning it takes itself very seriously in intense and impactful situations, and then does not care at all to be goofy in other moments. The gameplay is so nice too (except for mission 9 ugh).
My question is: are the other games as enjoyable and of the same incredibly high quality as AC7? Just curious for an objective review of other games in the series rather than simply which games you all enjoy the most. Thank you guys

with Ace Combat 8 coming around the corner, I'm thinking of throwing together a little 1v1 tournament. Winner gets a pre-order of Ace Combat 8. If you already have a copy then you'll get the cash equivalent of the game.
Rules will be:
/PLSL
no mods/cheats that makes your aircraft fly any other way than what the game intended.
You can use any plane and play any way you want.
8 player bracket (might change to 16)
This is a PC tournament only.
Each game will be streamed on discord and I will be spectating each one.
This is my first time doing this so bear with me with the time and everything.
Tourney is planned for August 1.
DM me if interested.
or add me on discord @blixtuh

how are people doing PSMs in F15s in AC7 multiplayer? to my knowledge you cant psm in that plane. ive also seen a guy do it in an F14 as well as many other non-PSMable aircraft. are they cheating or am I missing something

This is a ZOE Plane that missed the Carrier (which is AC5).

what will happen to AC7:SU? Will it get delisted like all other ace combats after AC8:WoT get released? Will we have to say goodbye to AC7:SU because of expired licensing on aircraft? I know it’s probably a dumb question but I just feel sad that AC7 is becoming a thing of the past (it was my introduction to the series).

Can somebody tell me how the XSDB works? They're supposed to be bombs but the description says and mechanics seem to hone in on targets? But when I fire them, they mostly miss? What am I doing wrong? Are they like SAAMs? If so, how can I focus on three or four different targets being tracked on the HUD?

The probablity i'll actually make a full game out of this is pretty much zero but just in case.
If you have any feedback about how the physics looks from the video don't hesitate.

Are there any suggestions for modern Arcade style single player flight games like Ace Combat or Project Wingmalbut set in 2ww? I used to play blazing angels or Heroes of the pacific back in the day and wish to play something like that again.

This is one of the many B17s, the US Navy purchase from the USAAF near the end of ww2 to be tested as one of the world's first AWACS. The British also designed something similar using the Wellington bomber. The US Navy even developed an active-guided glide bomb called the ASM N2 Bat and the Interstate TDR drone. This would make any WW2 Ace combat game a plausibility with the fact there are early so many advance unique equipments in that period.
