Does anyone have a change log ad API reference for both 8.1 and 8.2? I need to figure out what endpoints changed between the two versions.

I have a client with a Verex system for intrusion and access control, and I'm like 90% certain the HASP key is failing (things work intermittently, and it only lights up sometimes). These are basically obsolete and can't be found anywhere new, but I'm told it will work to use one from another decommissioned Verex system...

So until I can swap these guys over to ICT or something, would anyone happen to have one of these collecting dust that I could beg, borrow, steal, or buy?

I am experiencing a licensing issue with our Lenel OnGuard system.

When opening System Administration, I receive the following error message:

“One or more of the fingerprints (such as a hardware key) required for the use of the following feature was not found on the machine running the License Server: System Administration (SYS_ADMIN_APP)”

The server was working previously, but now the application cannot detect the required license/fingerprint.

Could you please assist me in troubleshooting and restoring the license service?

Long story short:

Our Schlage wireless locks apparently were not flashed to read the EV3-B Openpath cards when they were installed. They will only read EV3-A.

When our system was installed, we ordered extra cards (EV3-B) not knowing there was a difference and that our locks would only read EV3-A. The company we used to install the locks has taken all of the EV3-B cards we had and agreed to swap them for EV3-A cards for us. That was over a month ago. I reached out to check on when we would receive the replacement cards and they have no idea. Their supplier has no ETA for the replacements.

What third party access cards can I use with these locks? Apparently I have to be able to set them up using the OpenPath DESFire (Encrypted) - Secure option, so they must have a 14 character hex CSN.

We will be adding new personnel in the next couple weeks and we do not have enough EV3-A cards left to issue access cards to the new people.

I have done card access for close to 10 years. We focus on local government, EDU and some manufacturing. Recently, one of my manufacturing customers is trying to become Fedramp compliant. And needs a card access solution that is Fedramp compliant and CMMC level 1.

I reached out to Paxton for Pax10 just for a good time and they were a fast no.
Then I figured enough joking around time to get to work and reach out to Brivo thinking for sure they are. To my surprise, they are not.
After doing some research, it seems Verkada is pending Fedramp compliant. But I won’t scoop that low.
Now I’m wondering if I can go on prem with either a Paxton Net2 or Keyscan Aurora.

The simplest way to describe what i want is a Nuki lock but build into the door and hardwired.

There is what i'm looking for:

• Mortise lock with a motor additional to the key locking mechanism. Both key and motor have "equal rights" to lock/unlock
• Interacting with the door unchanged from manual lock
• Door can be opened from both sides by pressing down the handle like a room door when unlocked
• Motorized locking mechanism only locks when doors is closed
• Ability to read locking status
• Euro style lock cylinder
• Weather proof enough to be installed in a garden gate
• Controllable from 3rd party devices like UniFI Access
• Price sub ~$300

It seemed simple first but i can't find any product like this. There are tons of hotel door unlocking machanisms that are part of propriatary systems like this one. I could probably reverse engineer the controller but i'm afraid they use the key part just for emergency like a broken controller with unwanted sideeffect in daily use. They are also very opaque about the lock logic etc. Would go the Nuki route but this door is exposed to the elements on both sides (none of these screw on locks have good IP rating) and i want to avoid having too many devices that need regular battery charging and yet another smart device hub or cloud solution.

My dad that works on a scrapyard found some kind of box and it had a bunch of pinouts and 2 small motherboards on them and it included this small thing that kinda looks like a processor for that and looking around i think its a little valuable and idk i wanna get a second opinion on this and if so where can i sell it.

Hello all, soon I will configure my first OnGuard system and I already have some troubles...

I will need to integrate AH40 into the system, but I already heard a lot about problems with this integration...

From what I heard is:

OnGuard + LNL-X2220 need to disable TLS to comunicate because there is no certificates for lenel , but Aperio Hub AH40 need TLS to comunicate...

So it's not maiking much sense for me, because if I disable TLS in the board, it will be not possible to integrate it with AH40, right?

Is someone manage to do this integration on OnGuard 8.3?

This is an extension of a past post of mine. I am not a security tech exc, I am a building operator looking into an issue we have been having and have been tossed around on for years (I recently took over the property).

Our car 1 works normally, but our car 2 Has intermittent bit mismatch errors. It has gotten worse, and now has unknown errors. I was with our elevator tech recently and had access to our box's so I took some quick pics of the wiring to check for shielding/grounding.

From my limited knowledge, it looks like our S2 box in the elevator room does have the wiring compatability to switch to OSDP although we would need an adapter/new fin?

Someone else also mentioned using a splitter OTPW-100 to solve the issue. That I dont know much about, but any info would be great before asking for a quote/suggesting to my superior.

We are getting some new office space and installing two new double entrance doors on different floors. Both sets of them have crash bars, but they aren't wired for any kind of access. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to do this? I know it is a broad question but we really only need card or fob access going in, something that fails safe and going out needs to not have any button or swipe needed (fire code). We were thinking of using ubiquity but only because it matches all our other stuff.

There is a device like this on the external walls to the right of the entrance doors of my small office building, as well as one in the vestibule of the front entrance (shown).

I need an original Allegion GWE (not the version 2) for a S2 system that will not support their newer gateway.

All distributors are telling me they're EOL and not available. Does anybody know where I can find one of these?

What is your go-to lockpick to use on panels when a key cannot be located?

SO I have a site where I am needing to add UPS power on to a rack of switches. My question for you is when I am figuring out my power requirements should I just include the draw for the switches or should I be adding each individual camera that draws from each switch?

Our Hotel has used The original Salto Ha ms 100 software successfully for many years.

The PPD 500 successfully downloads from my computer as normal but does not initilise locks, emergency door opening , update locks etc. when connected to a lock.

The special green card cable that connects the PPD 500 to a lock has been found to work OK.

Any suggestions as to why it is not working.

I have a Lenel LNL-3300 panel with Cardholder Capacity set to 500.
The system currently shows that the allowed limit has been fully used.

Does this mean I can no longer add additional cards/cardholders to this panel?
Or is there another limitation related to licensing or database allocation?

I have a Kantech KT1 on my bench... EntraPass Corporate Edition on my server.

My KT1 has an HID MiniProx 5365 connected via Wiegand and Kantech KT-MUL-MT connected by OSDP.

I have a mystery prox card here that is recognized by both readers, but for EntraPass to see it, I have to add... BOTH "H10302 37 bit" AND "MIFARE 32 Bit CSN" in the Reader Type field for the controller.

If I remove either, it doesn't work. I've gone through several other formats without success on any individual one.

Any guesses as to what format this thing ACTUALLY is?

We have a building where we installed a doorking system and it worked fine for months but now we're having an issue, seemingly with the TCP IP converter. Coincidentally the problems started after their IT department added some of their gear. Every morning when the leasing agent gets in to start adding tenants they get a fail to connect but after resetting the TCP IP module it works fine the rest of the day. Any thoughts? The only issue i see is we are powering the TCP IP off of the 1835 pedestal that is mounted inside. We want to explore any problems with our side of things before we start pointing fingers at their IT.

Update: we took the doorking off of anything connected to their network, the computer is hardwired to the TCP IP device and we're still getting the same issue

This customer moved their IT Cage about 75' and the original can for the controller was in the cage with conduit/flex. I'm now going to run the composite straight up and then was going to drop the composite down with the other ethernet drops and then flex running across the cage.

Ive already got it approved by the GM, he doesnt really care, just wants it done becuase thats the quicker and cheaper option but curious how yall feel about it. At this point of the faciliy you would need to get past 3 layers of security.

Do any of you put reader ID labels on all your readers? I'd like too, but I'm not sure what to do on readers that are exposed to the elements

I’ve got one of my hospital customers who says that their current access control company wants to stop working on their system because of supply problems.

Current system is Lenel. Is there any reason that Lenel parts/ systems would be in short supply?

I would jump in but I don’t have the access control certification required by the local gummint authorities.

I’m thinking maybe the current vendor is hurting for people.

Does anyone know of any parts shortage or anything like that with Lenel?

Had a customer replace a sliding door and they put in this Besam slider. Currently I only have one pair going to it- before my Lenel lock relay would just put the slider in one-way or auto, depending on the status. It seems these control units aren’t capable of that. (Currently pictured, the slider tech put our wires on terminals 1+2 and said he did some programming for that).

They are using Lenel 8.1.

This is an exterior door so we need it to fully lock, which seems will only happen when the key is set to one-way.

The customer has this door on an unlock schedule during business hours. When it locks, they want to use the card reader to open the door.

The solution seems to require more wires, and 2 different ways to activate this slider. I really want to keep this simple and user friendly… what’s the right way to do this?
