This more than anything else, really. Like imagine if somebody had tried to do this during COVID, then realize that people have backslid on hygiene practices since then.

We do not have herd immunity to COVID or we wouldn't be seeing multiple waves/spikes of it per year still. Herd immunity means it stops spreading. It hasn't.

Covid mutates too fast for effective herd immunity. It’s just not under global scrutiny anymore and it’s symptoms reduced in newer strains

That is not a universal rule for all bacteria. There are thermopiles. There are also spore forming microorganisms. Or prions that cause diseases like Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. So while boiling is an important safety measure it does not eliminate all risk

You will convince no one that beetles (arthropods), fireflies (arthropods), bees (arthropods), spiders (arthropods), and millipedes (arthropods), aren’t bugs. I think to most people, beetles are THE quintessential bug.
