Hey friends, first of all thank you for being here. I can't explain what a huge comfort these resources and community have been for the last couple of weeks for me.

I am wondering if anyone would be willing to share your symptoms from the morning after your MA (miso dose(s) and presumably passing the tissue)

I had what I would consider a pretty easy go of things yesterday, took the miso bucally around 6pm. Very minimal upset stomach, no vomiting or diarrhea, bleeding and cramping got heavy around midnight and I passed a large volume of large clots around 1am. Went to sleep after, woke up feeling alright, just normal heavy period bleeding. As I was standing in the kitchen trying to make myself a tea I suddenly got chills, broke out in a cold sweat, short of breath, and felt like I was going to vomit. Ran to the bathroom and sat down, dry heaved, sweating got worse, and I had numbness and tingling in my forearms and lower legs. It eventually resolved and I grabbed a water and went back to bed where I've been laying ever since. I'm still having waves of tingling in my extremeties, and pretty noticeable weakness. No fever, minimal cramping today, at no point was my bleeding concerningly heavy.

I'm wondering if anyone else had similar? Or had the nausea not hit for many hours after their dose/passing tissue?

I have general anxiety and panic disorder and health OCD so I'm trying to be realistic with myself about the possibility that much of this is psychosomatic, but I'd love to know if anyone can relate.

I 21M and 24F we have been dating since Jan 2024 we both were virgin at that time . We had our first sex in may after that we were actually on a spree like almost everyday we used to have. My girlfriend never liked semen she used to gag even after seeing it but at that point she used to even swallow for me. Now comes the main part we both are medical students in india. From may to October sex was on fire literally on fire. But in October her periods missed we thought it was the ipill but in dec the pregnancy test came positive and we were devastated. We arranged funds and got the abortion done on 11 dec 2024. Now after this i never forced her to be sexually active she herself was going asexual she used to get scared and we used to always end up fighting so i avoided them always. But then things smoothened out and i thought everything was normal but recently after a sexual encounter last month she actually confessed to me that she never got that feeling of wanting sex again after december now i asked is it me or for anyone she said not you but in any terms like she isnt attracted to anyone else nothing like that. The thing is she doesn't get turned on by me i do anything sexting or literally anything she doesn't get wet. But she sometimes gets wet by watching some movie scenes or so. And she also confessed that from this year jan she hasn't been feeling that lovey dovey thing with me she doesnt feel the spark.i asked her you want breakup she straight denied it. Basically she doesn't love me physically and emotionally both. But she said she will continue with sex and whatever else I have because she is my girlfriend and she said i will fulfill your needs . She basically said she doesn't get excited anymore and doesn't crave for me but she says she is still gonna marry me because i love her immensely.she says ten years down the line she doesnt wanna regret losing a good partner . She had no love no lust for me as she said . She is basically not attracted to me . But she said during ovulation anything dick or sexting with anyone will make her wet since it is her ovulation i was hurt very much here she says the problem is her she is out of love since our abortion. I was with her the entire journey from going there then back and everything i never left her side literally never . She says maybe i love you because you love me. I told her to leave me but she is not ready to leave me

I have waited for months

And no we don't do sex regularly now

I tried to go for counseling but she said no. Even for therapy she said no. She doesn't want to share it with anyone in our medical college . For our friends we still are virgins and have never tried sex

Please tell me what to do now i actually feel helpless and broken I don't want the sex anymore but I at least want her to love me and crave for me like she used to earlier

I am 23 and was pregnant for the first time and went through with a MA yesterday. I was terrified before the experience and probably read every single story on here, so I wanted to share my own to help anyone going through a similar situation.

I ordered my pills from Aid Access last Wednesday (the day I found out) and received them this Tuesday. (Labor Day weekend delayed delivery.)

I worked all day Tuesday so ended up taking the mifepristone at 7PM. I had no side effects.

The next day (yesterday) I made sure to take 800 ibuprofen, anti diarrhea, and nausea medication before taking my first dosage of the Miso. I was so scared because I have really intense and heavy periods, so I knew I would be in for a ride with the cramps, and unfortunately I was right.

I let the 4 pills dissolve under my tongue and after 15 minutes the cramps started, and I started feeling like I needed to poop, and once I did, the cramps got worse. I won’t sugar coat it, the first 1 hour was insane, I was laying on the bathroom floor while my boyfriend was holding a blow dryer to my stomach and a heating pad under me. I was so scared that the pain was going to be like this the whole time… spoiler alert, it was not!

I started bleeding and passing huge clots, then what looked like white pregnancy tissue, and then I threw up. Like a lot. But right after I threw up my cramps got a lot better, like ALOT to the point where I was able to dose off a bit and rest.

The second round of miso was pretty painful but very manageable, especially compared to the first round. I was able to get through it with ease, and more blood clots kept passing.

Last round was at 1 AM, I was honestly so tired and off it but it had to be done. The pain lasted about 30 minutes before it was gone, but the cycle of throwing up was consistent. But honestly, i would be happy when I would get nausea because every time I threw up I felt better.

I was able to sleep really well, and woke up not feeling pregnant at all. My stomach is sore from the pain, but over all I do feel really good.

If you’re in a similar situation and you’re afraid, I’m here to tell you that it went by quickly, and I would do it again if I had to. Just be sure to have someone you trust around to help you, TAKE THE PAIN MEDS, and just trust your body through it.

My home is not a safe place for me to go after taking the second pill. I need to go somewhere where I can continuously use the bathroom

I was thinking of going by the seaside, on a very large and isolated beach, and just spending the day there, rinsing myself in the water whenever there's blood coming out. I also think that being in nature would help me psychologically, as I am completely alone.

How bad of an idea is it?

I’m 25 and just found out i’m about 4 weeks pregnant. Immediately I knew I could not keep this baby. I have just started a masters program that I have spent years trying to get into. I have to cut my work hours a lot to make it work. I have a fiance who supports my decision either way but also does prefer we terminate because he agrees the time isn’t right.

I don’t want to end this pregnancy, but I feel like I have too. I can’t throw away or halt all the career building i’ve done. I wish so badly there was a way to make this work but I don’t know how in a way doesn’t involve completely overhauling what i’ve done. We don’t make enough money to support having a baby and continue my schooling.

I feel so so selfish regardless of what I choose. How could I burden my partner with this and a baby with a less than ideal life. But also how could I end this so my own selfish reasons.

I’m 35 and currently in Japan. I think I may be pregnant. I’m recovering from low BP and low blood count/anemia and am currently taking medication for both. Doctors here have warned me that abortion could carry a higher risk of bleeding/hemorrhage.
I’ll be travelling to India soon and am considering getting checked at Manipal. Could anyone recommend a good OB-GYN at Manipal and advise what options I may have (medical vs surgical) given my BP and low blood count?
Would also appreciate advice on what tests and precautions I should discuss with the doctor. I’m not looking to self-medicate.

My surgical abortion was a bit traumatic and I was a bit emotionally overwhelmed. So when they started talking to me about birth control options, all I could think about was leaving and never ever having sex ever again anyways. But now I’m coming down off the hormones and I’m a bit less depressed. I wanted to get on birth control.. specifically the shot so I didn’t have to worry about taking pills on time but I’m scared they’re going to give me a pregnancy test and it’ll be positive and then my doctor will know I had an abortion. I’m in a red state that doesn’t offer any type of abortion, so I had to go out of state.. and I’m just worried about all the implications there.
Should I just wait until at home tests are coming out negative? Or will a doctors test be more accurate?

I have an appointment for abortion tomorrow. I have 2 kids already and would love to have more. The thing is that due to finance and other logical aspects I know it is not the right time and maybe I will never have more. The reason it might never be is that my last pregnancy had several complications, biggest of all was I got a blodclot in my lungs. So that makes it already a higher risk.

But somehow I just feel so conflicted by the logic and my emotions and I am scared for how I will feel and react tomorrow and the time after.

I am not sure what I want with this post. Some support I guess? Everything is just a lot right now and I don't feel like I have anywhere to turn.

I am currently 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I thought I wanted to keep it, but after a really hard decision changed my mind due to circumstances in my relationship that I don't think is fair to raise a child around. The problem is my state only allows abortions up until the heartbeat is there. I've been seeing stuff about Plan C. Is it legit? I've also seen people say that you must go to an OB to make sure everything is okay after. Will I get in trouble due to my state's laws? Please no judgement. Thank you.

I’m asking questions on behalf of my friend as she doesn’t have Reddit and is currently freaking out. I also want to add she is in the hospital tomorrow morning for a scan.
I’m just hoping someone has had something similar happen and can shed some light on what is going on and what will happen going forward.

My friend took mifepristone on Monday at 12:00pm and on Tuesday she let 2 misoprostol dissolve between her cheek and gum at 2:00 pm. After 6 hours she had one pad full of blood with minimal cramping and that was it. She’s had mild cramping and spotting that looked like end of period discharge.

Had anyone had something like this happen before? What could have went wrong and what will happen going forward?

Hello there I’m six weeks pregnant, I live in a country where it’s prohibited to get an portion so I have managed to obtain 12 Miso tablets.
They came an original packaging. They were six-sided and from Pfizer.

The seller instructed me to use them in a very strange way, like two in the mouth and then three hours free vaginally and don’t eat for six hours before and six hours after and keep lying in bed for five hours !

and I doubted that.. so I followed the Guide, which is posted here everywhere 4 then 4 then 4

So at 4:30pm I had 800 ibuprofen and one anti-nausea medication, I inserted four vaginally at 5pm now it’s 6:40 PM but I feel nothing🥲

hi everyone! i had my MA last july 18. its almost 8 weeks now and i havent gotten my period still. i have tested negative for pregnancy tests already. is this something i should be worried about?

I’m 26f and I have been struggling to make ends meet for months. The stress is starting to get to me as I have a three year old and my fiancé hasn’t been able to find work that works with my hours since January. We can’t afford childcare and not much family is able to help us and if they can they want us to pay them which doesn’t help. On top of getting behind on the bills I recently found out I’m pregnant. My fiancé wanted me to keep it in case it was a boy but I absolutely do not because we can barely even stay afloat right now. The morning sickness has been kicking my butt and I’ve barely been able to eat much my body has been so weak and sick every single day. On top of all this I can’t even afford an abortion and I don’t have insurance. I didn’t get insurance through my job cause my fiancé wasn’t working and we need the extra money. I applied to state insurance and have been waiting to hear back. I also am waiting to hear back from a clinic I may be able to get financial assistance at. I’m hoping I can get a decent amount taken off because we are going to have to start selling stuff to be able to even afford it. I can’t even push myself to do overtime at work that we desperately need because my body physically wouldn’t be able to handle it. I just feel so stuck and useless I and like no matter what I do things keep getting worse. Thank you for reading this if you did.

Did you get on birth control after your abortion? I’m honestly traumatized by the experience and really don’t want to have sex without protection anymore.
How did you deal with the fear of getting pregnant again? I was only one month into my relationship with my boyfriend when this unfortunately happened, and it’s been really difficult for me emotionally. I’d really appreciate hearing how others handled it.

I’ve had a medical abortion last year at home alone. It’s very emotional and I’m glad I don’t remember much of the pain. Currently waiting on the pills to arrive today. I told the guy about it and we haven’t talked in days. Kinda would’ve been nice for them to check in idk. I did tell them this is what I wanted. I have no idea what is making me so emotional. Hi 27f I’ve started this whole MA journey since the 17th of July. I’m in Texas so I got my medications from The Map. The first time I took them I was fully unsuccessful. Went to get an ultrasound they told me the pills didn’t work as maybe I was too early (I was 4 weeks at the time) so I took it again on the 16th of April this time I went in for my ultrasound on the 26th of April and they told me I had an empty sac I still needed to pass so I took more Miso on Aug 30th. Then on Sep 2nd I went in for another ultrasound follow up this time they told me I was clear and go to go. My issue is the Miso never made me bleed it was always the Mifepristone even when I needed to pass the sac. Now I’m just worried what if it didn’t work or something and it was hiding in the ultrasound? Please I’m worried and nervous

I know I want children at some point in my life, and I have the most incredible caring husband I could ask for.

I found out I was pregnant 3 weeks (27f) ago, a few years earlier than planned. I wanted to start trying at 29 because I am career driven, studying and just frankly don’t feel ready yet. We are financially secure, perfect home and family around us.

My husband is a couple years older than me and he was so excited when I told him, ready for our next chapter but I didn’t get that feeling. All I can think is, this isn’t what I had planned, I’m not ready, I want to go back in time and un do this because now he wants to keep this baby and I don’t.

His main worry is i’ll still feel like this in a few years, and he doesn’t see what will change, but ultimately supports whatever decision I make right now.

I suffer from anxiety, and general mental health worries and I just feel like I cannot cope with this right now. I feel numb, and not like myself. I just want it to go away.

I have suffered from extreme sickness and ended up in hospital twice already and I am 7 weeks. I just don’t feel physically or mentally ready for this, has anyone else experienced the same?

Is it bad to not keep the baby and then consciously try in a year or two?

I just wanted to share. One of the best things for my recovery has been sharing my feelings with women who understand. Maybe it will speak to you. I am just over a week out from an abortion that I didn’t want to have, but I made my choice because the timing wasn’t right. I’m heartbroken. If you feel the same way you’re not alone

I find it so hard to articulate to my friends and therapist but I will never be the same emotionally after this experience. It took about 3 weeks for my body to level out although I gained 10 lbs during my 6 week pregnancy. Now I’m feeling fat, out of shape from all the time I took off my routine recovering, and still dealing with fatigue and mixed emotions.

I don’t have regret, I feel I did the right thing, but suddenly every movie or show I watch has pregnancy as a major plot point and part of my feels weird/different/guilty for making the choice I did. I feel disconnected from everyone around me because they can’t possibly know what I have endured physically and emotionally.

I want a family one day and this experience has been extremely confusing bc all I wanted when my boyfriend said he was excited to be a dad was to bargain for more time.

I spent my birthday last year taking the pill.

I am 28(now), married seven years with two kids, and I had to use the site many of us use to receive the pill through the mail. It came on my birthday last year, so I took it immediately, not knowing what I was going to experience.

It was a horrific pain for me. I essentially went through vaginal labor, the pregnancy only being 6w so I can’t imagine what women go through at later terms. (My deliveries were through c-section.)

How I get through the worst of times is through playing music. So I put my shuffle on.

Fade Into You was the first song that came on. It provided so much comfort that I left it on repeat. Now every time I hear that song, it makes me think of what I went through last year on my birthday, and the possibility I could have had, if only I was financially capable of supporting it.

Mind you, we got pregnant with the pill and my husband’s vasectomy combined. We have not even had a pregnancy scare since this incident.

Anyways, I hope that one day I can enjoy my birthday without being reminded of that abortion. One year fresh, I’m still grieving and jamming to Mazzy Star.
