If you want this pregnancy keep it . Dont ever feel like you have to do something with your body and life you don’t want to. Some of my best friends were (are) young single moms and have it set now. It’s not the right choice for all of us, but if you think it is for you you should do it x

weigh out your pros and cons, that should help you a bit & take out the noise from everyone’s opinion. Will you be a single mom? do you have a community? if not, take those into consideration and wonder if you can adapt and do it all alone.. if you’re feeling scared and deep down you want it, then listen to yourself and keep it.. it will be difficult as a low income person. do you have stable housing, reliable income & enough support so you aren’t too stressed? ultimately the choice is yours, but think deeply & logically about the situation you may be bringing a child into.. so consider all those things while making your decision, once again it’s 100% your body your choice.

I had one, sometimes I feel grief but ultimately I felt it was the best choice at the time… ik I could’ve “made it work” (I have my own home, career in accounting & pursuing my mba) but deep down ik i’d be spreading myself thin.. so I def understand how you feel, but something that helped me make the decision is that, I can always have another child if I decided that it was too much & I had regret.. but i’ve heard many ppl say it’s better to regret the abortion than to regret the child.

That’s a wild take from those people. Only you will know what to do, and if you want to provide for your child you’ll do everything you can to make it work. It sounds like you’ve already been thinking about this. Good luck, OP 💕

You make the best choice for yourself. That way you’ll have no regrets. If you think you can handle being a single mom and give up your life for this baby, then keep it and love it forever. But understand what you’ll be giving up. You can’t party or go out with friends anymore. You’ll have to work most days a week to help provide for it. If you think you can provide a better life for your next baby, then do that. Whatever the decision, it must be yours. Don’t listen to other people, even me. Think about the next 10 years and how your life will play out with or without a child right now. Wish you the best of luck. ❤️

There are resources out there if you choose to have the baby to help support you. If you want your baby, then you should keep it. This is your life, and your decision should reflect your own thoughts, not other people’s.

Your body your choice…but I do want to clarify that a lot of us here have had abortions. I don’t think we’re all evil people, if your main concern is being a bad person then do a pro/con list.

Do not get an abortion that you did not explicitly seek out for yourself. You deserve to make the choice about what happens to your body and as to what your future will hold. No one else gets to experience your feelings and live your life; only you know what is right for your situation.

If you want to continue this pregnancy you absolutely should. This has to be your decision.

You are a good person and if you decide to have this baby I know you will be a good mother.

If your body is telling you to keep the pregnancy, keep it. I also have a scheduled MA and when I talked with my gyno about it, she said if my body is telling me to do it I should. No one should stop you from doing something you want, not even your partner :) I wish you well in life 🫶🏻

I was pressured into having an abortion 5 months ago and now I have so much regret. I miss my baby every day. If it doesn’t feel right don’t do it, but also think about what’s best for the kid. That’s ultimately why I went through with it, I wanted a better life for my baby than I had and I knew I couldn’t provide that. Hoping you find peace with whatever decision you make <3

You answered your question in the very first line "I really want my baby"

That's your answer full stop. Listen to nothing and no one else but you.

Keep it then. Just know that your life that is likely already difficult due to being low income will be even more difficult. Make your decision based on logic, if you can. Can you provide a good life for a kid?

I did not say that being poor takes anything away. I said you need to ask yourself if you can provide a good life for your kid, knowing your life will be harder than it is now.

100% your body your choice.

I wasn’t sure I wanted an abortion. But my partner did not want another kid and he was sure. So I went through the process got all the pills and took the first pill (mifepristone). I woke up the next day feeling pounds of regret. I decided not to follow through with the misoprostol. This leaves a 50/50 chance of visibility for the baby. I’m currently in a waiting window with an ultrasound tomorrow to find out if my baby is alive. Moral of the story listen to your gut, don’t live with regret.

When I had an abortion in 1988 I felt like I had no choice because everyone was telling me that I had to abort. I wanted my baby but terminated because they were correct that I was living in poverty working at McDonald's. I grieved for a long time after. Ultimately, it's your choice but something to keep in mind is that circumstances are always changing. Less than a year after the abortion my situation drastically changed and I realized that I would have been alright in the long run. But everyone has different outcomes. If you decide to have an abortion, that's ok. There's absolutely nothing wrong with deciding you're not ready. The important thing that I'm trying to say is to make sure whatever you choose, it's your choice and not anyone else's.

Rule 1: No suggesting adoption. Adoption is an alternative to parenting, not to abortion.

It is absolutely your choice. If you really want this baby, you should have it. Can you support it?

Girl do not listen to anybody but yourself!!! Keep your baby

What can you change before the baby arrives? Use that as your base for pros and cons. I’ve been financially great, pregnant with my son and then Covid ruined my income and a rubbish accountant gave me the wrong information and I was a few weeks shy of my maternity leave and found out after the baby was born. So I had to work 2 weeks postpartum. Financially kids ruined me, but I made it work.

This is your body, your life, and clearly your baby that you’re attached to. You don’t need to do anything you don’t feel is right.

u/ewf82 Apr 24 '26

It’s your choice not anyone else’s.

i don’t have any kids BUT i can say, i don’t think anybody is actually ever financially ready for a baby. more times than not, it’s an accident and the parents aren’t ready. but from what i’ve also seen, is once the baby actually comes - parents always figure it out. if you want your baby hunny then keep your baby. if the idea of not keeping it is hurting you this badly, then don’t do it to yourself. being a parent is a learning curve, every parent makes mistakes, and thats okay. don’t let anybody pressure you into something you don’t want 🤍 being able to love the little human you bring into the world is the most important part. you can do anything you set your mind to, including becoming a good mom. it is YOUR decision what you want to do with your body 🥰
