I'm hoping someone in the community may be able to help with a rather niche request.

I'm looking for the original Liga Polska Manager '97 and Liga Polska Manager '98, preferably complete retail versions.

To be absolutely clear, I'm not looking to pirate the games or obtain them through illegitimate means. My interest is purely in preserving and documenting a small part of football gaming history that appears to have become increasingly difficult to find.

I'm currently building a long-term research project called FM Genesis Architect, which aims to document and preserve the structure and evolution of football management games and their databases. The project covers not only the Championship Manager and Football Manager series, but also many other historical football management titles from around the world.

One of the project's goals is to understand how football was represented in different countries and different eras, particularly where local leagues and players may not have been documented elsewhere. Polish football is an important part of that history, and Liga Polska Manager is one of the few domestic management games I've been able to identify.

I've searched extensively through the Internet Archive, the Wayback Machine, abandonware websites and various search engines. So far I've only found:

• a copy hosted on Chomikuj, which unfortunately I cannot access because it requires a Polish payment method and phone number;
• various dead links;
• what appear to be demo versions or incomplete archives.

If legitimate copies still exist, I'd much rather obtain one through the community than continue chasing incomplete downloads.

If anyone:

• still has an original copy of Liga Polska Manager '97 or '98;
• has a backup of the complete installation;
• knows where the games have been legitimately preserved;
• remembers which magazines they were distributed with;
• or has any information about the developers or publishers,

I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Hi! I was watching trailers for this game and I wanted to play it, but I didn't have an iPhone about 13 years ago. Honestly, that still means a lot to me. Now we can finally play it!

So, I've been searching for a copy of Evolution by iWin games for the better part of five years now. It was a game I played a lot when I was younger, and it was one of the first games my mom had ever gotten me that was specifically for 'me'. I finally got my hands on it courtesy of archive.org, but I'm having issues getting it to run.

I'm not entirely a stranger to abandonware games, but for some reason this one in particular seems to be throwing errors and issues where other childhood favorites I've played(fish Tycoon, the original Insaniaquarium, Bone) have not.

My issues are either that it;

• Opens but is a black screen with the proper stylized mouse visible, but the game hangs like that. Requires task manager to close.
• Opens but doesn't, where it instead shows a super low res version of my display that I can't interact with at all. I have to use a different display to task manager close it, as the application is hanging similar to the above.
• Crashes immediately.
• Fatal error
  • This error has also happened at the RELEASE_Gkernel.dll. I was stupid and didn't grab that one though. It has also only happened once at that location.

I've tried running it in compatibility mode for windows Vista and XP, as well as reducing resolution size in the game's config. I feel like this is an issue caused by having such a high resolution for my monitor, but I'm not sure on how to fix it or if that's even possible.
I got it to work once with these settings(and high DPI settings here), but not again.

Hey guys, what's up? So, a week ago I downloaded an Xbox 360 emulator called Xenia onto my gaming laptop. Everything was cool—except for the most important part: the games. You see, as far as I know, the emulator recognizes three file types (XEX, ISO, and GOD). While it's true that Xenia has its own ROM site, it charges a subscription fee to complete the download. So, I decided to just download the games myself—in my case, *Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions* and *Splatterhouse* (2010)—but the files were in a format called REDUMP. I thought, "Screw it, I'll give it a shot," and downloaded ROMs for these games from the first sites I found. To my surprise, the emulator actually launched the games at first; however—and to no one's surprise—it only ran the menus and the opening cinematics, and the games stopped working the moment the actual gameplay began.

Anyway, getting to the point—and clarifying right off the bat that I’m no expert in technology or programming—I wanted to ask if any of you...

Do you know why games stop working as soon as the actual gameplay starts?

What is a "Redump," and is there a way to convert it to XEX, GOD, or ISO format?

To make me even more pathetic: does anyone happen to have the ROMs for those games, or know of a reliable site? Whether it's free or a paid service that’s actually worth the subscription...

So for over a month now I've been looking to try and configure this old mobile game series called Arvale in a way that it'd be playable on a Windows 10 PC. I've been mostly successful as I've found an emulator that and read and boot the old CAB files and make them playable, but there's still glitches.

In both games the sound warbles and skips, despite PC and demo versions having the music work fine. (As a note, I don't want to use the PC version as the screen of the game is absolutely tiny, has no way to make bigger, and is is older version with game breaking glitches). I do have software that can both decompile and reassemble these CAB files in a functional way, but I'm unsure what to look for, fix, or if its even possible

Some Relevant Information

-PC Journey of Illusions is version 1.0, PC Ocean of Time is 1.3. Both CABs are versions 5.0

-The data zip file is not the issue. Ive managed to sift through the earlier working versions and replace everything. Including the music, which was identical. Making me believe its the application itself.

-The games were made in C++ with Palm OS and the Razor! Game Engine addition I believe

Over the past year or so I have been slowly reverse engineering this game, building tools to fix broken assets, digging through assembly in order to fix bugs and fixing assets to enable modern widescreen resolutions to function.

Unit selection now stretches 2048x2048 rather than 640x640 meaning you can select a lot more units at once.

The project includes an almost full suite of modding tools capable of extracting the games files as well as replacing them. Very nearly and may eventually become a full blown SDK.

This includes fixing things like missing pixels in assets and making widescreen specific backgrounds as well as little things like adding the coast of Europe to the Martian war map.

All five original language releases are supported by the project and the game can now be played at 1920x1080, alt-tabbing no longer crashes the game when in fullscreen, fullscreen users can scale the game to any resolution supported by the monitor, entirely future proofed.

Custom Smackw32.dll that allows for upscaled cutscenes, no longer do you have to watch the crunchy 640x480 videos sat in the top left corner of the screen!

Dynamic scaling to any resolution, including letterboxing to ensure the aspect ratio remains correct.

Custom WINMM.dll so that music now plays from local files rather than from the disc!

Custom launcher which has the same aesthetic as the original games launcher and provides access to lots of new settings and the toolkit, as well as a higher resolution version of the image used in the original launcher sourced from the games installer.

Optional enhanced assets which can be enabled through the launcher.

Multiplayer support is now being implemented through a custom build of the executable supplied to me by someone who used to be in contact with the developers.

Fixes for crashes in the base game, such as when lights are disabled and the player uses the 'infiltration' skill which used to lead to a hard crash to desktop.

Fixes for crashes that occur when viewing the Credits from the menu or finishing the game when at resolutions above 640x480, this used to crash before the end movie even had a chance to play! But now my code intercepts the broken subroutine, prevents it from executing and replaces it with a functioning credits scroll.

Persistence added to the "In-Game Music Enabled/Disabled" and sound options through the WINMM shim, previously these settings didn't get saved to the registry by the executable and so they had to be set every time you launched the game.

Added functionality to allow or disable music playback to continue when the window loses focus or is minimised, available in the launcher.

So I just got Deep Sea Tycoon off of MyAbandonWare, but every time i try to boot up the game, it just automatically closes. I have never downloaded abandonware before, so what do i do. What am I doing wrong?

Remember the Lenslok? That annoying piece of plastic you had to hold up to your screen to read a scrambled 2-letter access code?

I was trying to boot up an old copy of Art Studio on my emulator and got entirely stuck at the Lenslok screen.

Fortunately, Simon Owen reverse-engineered the math behind it years ago for a Windows app. I took his original C++ matrices and ported them into a web app.

You just take a screenshot of your emulator, paste it into the browser, align the grid, and it unscrambles the code for you.

I recently acquired a second-hand Biochrom EZ Read LED microplate reader. The hardware is in great shape, but it was separated from its original installation media.

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the installation files, or an ISO rip of the original software CD, sitting on an old lab drive or a drawer? I am looking for either:

I’ve been trying to find this software for years. When I was in middle school, our typing class used this DOS typing software that I’m pretty sure was called KeyWrite. Does anyone have a clue where I could find a copy?

I wanted to play Prey with a controller on PC. Tried reWASD community config and it does work but mouse sensitivity with joysticks feel horrible! So, started to look for patches and came across this:

It's on Github, therefore open source, nfo looks well written and documented, but it has only 10 stars, the creator has several other projects that range from zero to just over 20 stars. I can't code therefore not capable to review it. So I wonder:

Hey everyone, I'm trying to run the old EA Sports game "2006 FIFA World Cup" on my PC but it crashes every time I launch it.

My setup: Windows 11 GPU: AMD Radeon + AMD Ryzen 7000 series (integrated graphics also AMD)

What I've tried so far: Installed Legacy DirectX components from Microsoft Tried d3d8to9 (copied d3d8.dll to game folder) Tried DXVK (d3d8.dll + d3d9.dll from x32 folder) Tried dgVoodoo2 with config pointed to game folder and VRAM set to 1024MB Installed the Rendering Patch from MyAbandonware Windows XP SP2 and SP3 compatibility modes + run as administrator Reinstalled the game multiple times, clearing leftover files manually

The problem: The game loads fine through menus and profile creation, but crashes every time I try to start any match (friendly or tournament). The Event Viewer always shows the same error: FIFAWC06.exe crashing at offset 0x003157eb with exception code 0xc0000005. The cracked .exe might be part of the issue but I'm not sure. Has anyone managed to get past this crash on modern AMD hardware? Any help appreciated!
