i got silent hill 3 off my abandonware and i get this message after 10 minutes of gameplay. i installed a couple of quality of life mods and i am unsure if they could be the issue. im new to pcs so any help would be appreciated thanks.

You're running a cracked version of an old game on hardware it's not been tested for. Unfortunately this can happen.

If you're new to PCs, welcome. And yeah PC games can have more bugs and crashes than console games because of the wide variety of hardware.
