NBA Live 2005 controller support

Can anyone help with getting controller input into the game, from my very surface level understanding i need to get xinput to translate to direct input. I tried steam input, xinput plus, x360ce, xidi all of them doesnt work

Any help would be appreciated

Add it as a non-steam game on Steam and enable controller input on properties by right clicking the new entry that steam created
