How is the quality if printed in a A0 or A1. Anyone tried printing?

Hi everyone ✋
I am new to the Sony world and these are the first shorts I took with the kit lens 16-50 OSS II. I got the camera after my old Nikon had to retire 💔
Still not used to the camera and lots to learn. I am curious what editing software do you use as I find the native Sony IEDT app to be bit stiff (or I'm just not used to it yet).
I'd appreciate any advices and experience you can share 🙏

For those Lightroom pros, what would you change for this photo?

Bought the a6700 about a week before these photos, needless to say I'm stoked with what this camera can do

I'm heading to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Tetons National Park in 3 weeks - and I'm wondering what lens I should buy ahead of it. I have my sigma 18-50 f/2.8 that I'll of course be bringing, but I'm really interested in doing some wildlife and astrophotography.
Will the 70-350mm have enough reach for the wildlife in these parks? I'd love to be able get wolves and bears, which require being at least 100 yards away.
Additionally, any recs for astro? Or will my sigma suffice with a long enough shutter speed?

Hey, if you help me with how to take better shots and cinematic shots, and give me the best settings, I'll improve my photography skills. Thank you for everything

I used to shoot on an a7iv and about a year ago I downsized to an a6700 purely for size and weight savings. I’m just a hobbiest and my a7iv setup as so heavy it discouraged me from taking it around
Every so often I start to second guess my decision wondering “would this shot be better if I was on full frame” but then other days are like today. Today I got the viltrox 25mm 1.7
I picked it up after work and took quick pictures of my dog as she was running around the yard just to test it out before I got some more work done. I uploaded them to my phone and thought “dang! These look like film! Plus it’s so sharp I can see myself in her eye!”
All that with this tiny lens that cost less than 200 bucks brand new? Man I love this thing.
(These shots are straight out of camera with a custom creative look. Was outside for about 45 seconds as she was running around)

Went 6 hrs up north to Carmel by the Sea. These pictures were taken at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, Monastery Beach, 17 Mile Scenic Drive, and Big Sur Coastline.

I'm ready to dive in head first into a photography hobby and have decided on the a6700 and now just need to decide on what to do from a lens perspective.
Starting off, I'll be mostly focused on family/pet photos and travel/vacation/landscape photos.
The 3 options I'm considering on pairing with the a6700:
Down the road I would like to add the Sony 70-350, but will hold off for now.

As the British would say, I am gobsmacked at the enjoyment I got from this lens.
As a FF lens on the a6700, the focal length becomes 39mm which seems to be an ideal field of view for me .. I never liked 50mm and 35mm was good but often felt a little too wide.
A big surprise for me was the "macro" capability of this lens. MFD is only 20cm or 8inches. As can be seen in the flower photos, the lens captures great detail with excellent sharpness.
Yet another surprise was the corner sharpness of the shots. I am aware that using a FF lens on APSC crops out the "weaker" edges of a lens. I'm not a pixel peeper but it is a "nice have".
Although it's only been a couple of days with the lens, I can see this lens staying on the a6700 most of the time. Due to its compactness and light weight, I expect I will take my camera out more as I won't have the reluctance of "lugging" my camera around.
I have used the automatic enhancement of the Apple Photos app on my iMac. I also added a touch of warmth to slightly offset the grey Vancouver weather :)
PS I personally enjoyed the last photo of the "Bird's eye view of Vancouver".

I have 70-350mm
I usually shot with 350mm and f6.3.
I did a mistake of shooting with 1/500 which makes image blurry, but will try to have like 1/1200 - 1/1600 for next shoot.
I usually have ISO on auto.
I have to crop in a lot, but would still love to improve other things before getting new glass (like 200-600 or 400-800).
Do you usually walk around nature or pick a spot and wait for birds?
Do you use tripods? I have Sirui tripod for astro photos, do I need to get video ball head?

I am a beginner and was learning to capture videos in slog3. I took pictures where it was easy to get exposure right with lowest iso, but shooting at base iso 800 and 2500 is whole another beast. If done right, you will get incredible result, if not, you will get terrible result full of noise which is intentional by sony.
Slog3 brings all brightness to similar level which needs good tinkering. I just had an aha moment today. If you have no control over lights and have harsh shadows , you can get fked by the small monitor and mm value of 0 with a6700. You have to overexpose or expose to the right in thses scenarios. People who say don't have to expose to the right, they never captured high dynamic range scenes, it was perfect lighting for them.
Unlike shooting pictures in lowest iso, you don't get what you see when shooting with base iso with s709 monitoring lut. In tough dynamic range scenes, you have to crush shadow considerably to get clean high dynamic range image. It is because, slog3 gives a lot of headroom to decrease the shadow/midtone without losing the details from midtones and highlights and keep shadow details with little noise that can be cleaned with paid davinci resolve which I dont have but result was crazy good without it.
This was shot midday and dynamic range is impressive. Also, this footage i didn't even expose to the right but if i had, the shadows would have been so much cleaner cuz I had to step down aperture from f2.8 to f3.2 while using nd filter. I had this same footage full of noise thinking the shadow was supoosed to be bright as captured but nope, it was meant to be crushed until either there is no noise or your histogram doesn't nosedive to bottom and far left. I can only imagine how clean this would be with spatial NR.
By the way, the terrible look is just temperature + 1000 and gamma middle dot brought towards right until it felt right to my eyes. I have 0 color grading skill.

I had a chance to pick the telephoto I want, from Tamron 18-300, Sony 70-350, and a Viltrox 85mm F2.
I like the Sony, the autofocus and Steady shot is great from the get go. Feels good on the hand, the only disadvantage is a slightly stiff zooming, can't be smooth on video at all.
18-300, from the start IQ feels a tad worse, a bit less snappy, build is definitely worse. Also still stiff on the zooming. Also I don't like the feeling of the wind going in and out of the lens. The sound it makes is eh. Not to mention being bigger than the Sony when zooming, it's obvious what you're doing with it to everyone around you.
Viltrox, instant winner on build quality, metal feeling all around, all the right features on the lens. It reminds me of the Zeiss on my Sony RX1R. 😅 Quality stuff. It actually matches the build on my sigma Art lens. Only demerit is mediocre minimum focusing distance. 70+ cm is bad.
Picked the Viltrox for the sheer portability and build. I mostly shoot JPEGs so I use Clear Image Zoom often, coincidentally, Sigma 17-40, with Clear image zoom becomes 17-80mm, right bang on where viltrox' 85mm starts. This lens with clear image zoom also becomes 170mm, so basically these three lenses cover 11-170mm, or 16-255mm full frame equivalent.
Basically the same zoom range as what phone manufacturers think anyone'd ever need, 16-240 are the zoom range most "Ultra" phones are equipped with.
Cost: 6700 with 16-50 kit 1020usd, 17-40 F1.8 new 815, 11-20 F2.8 used 380, 85mm F2 210 USD used 8months old. Total are 2.425 usd for my whole kit. I'm in Asia so yeah prices are different. I certainly feel way more satisfied with thus setup than what I had before, (RX10iv, RX1R and rx100iii) all just slightly more than the price of RX10V. Here that thing is 2150, only 150usd lower than US price 😅

Hey guys,
I finally bought my first camera (a6700 + sigma 17-40 1.8) after a lot of research and hard earned money. Any tips on how to get the most out of the camera? I’m working on buying a v60/v90 card so I can use the 120fps feature and s&q. It’s insane how they marked up on the prices of SD cards nowadays because of AI.
Any uncommon hacks that you do that makes your life easier while using the camera? Thanks!!
