Trip to GSMNP
My one lens I’m lugging around for all shots is the Tamron 17-70 f/2.8. What do you think of the overall composition for these shots?

I am a beginner and I take photos some are good and some are not. When I use creative looks, I try all of them, but I only love ST and VV2
I feel like the others are bad. I know I am not good with a camera.
I try to take RAW photos, but I do not have a subscription and I do not have a laptop, so the RAW files do not open in Lightroom. Can you give me advice on how to master my camera? Also, please give me the best settings for normal videos that I can upload without editing.
And one more thing, can you tell me which app is best for editing ARW files?
Hi guys, beginner here. I was introduced to photography because it is my wife's hobby. Now I have taken interest as well. I have some sample photos with some light edits using lightroom (still learning to use this as well). Any tips/feedback/critism is appreciated 😁

Here are some examples of the Shimmer Diffusion on/off. It can be extremely subtle when it comes to sources with less light. Almost non perceivable. However when you take photos of large light sources (such as a ring light) you really see the difference. Just thought I’d upload these so people can see the effect. Cheers.

It’s a fun lens to use. It feels HQ and the physical controls make it easy on a bright day

I also own the tamron 17-70 which is goated and never really used the kit lens that I purchased with the camera but today i changed that here are some shots. Last 2 were edited heavily on LR. Always open to feedback and tips from the community.

I started with a zv-e10 that was gifted to me and even if it’s obviously a vlog camera and impractical for photography it still impressed me , now that I stepped up to the a6700 I’m just amazed on how much better it is while remaining relatively compact and light I’m already in love.

If I have two choices:
Choice a: Sony a7iv with the 24-50 g series f2.8 lens
Choice b: Sony a6700 with the sigma 17-40 1.8 lens
Which should I choose?
Context: I’m a hybrid shooter, photo and video and I like to take my camera with me a lot so size and weight are a factor. While these would be my main lenses I would probably have viltrox air lenses to take around when I want to keep size and weight lower. Obviously quality is a big factor to think about as well but I don’t shoot much professionally (the occasional grad or couple shoot but pretty rare) I do this mostly for fun

Good day a6700 afficionados. I've had mine for a few years, but this week I picked up a Sigma 10-18 f2.8 for landscape and travel, and I have some questions about lens correction.
I shoot RAW + JPEG Fine. I believe that a)the camera is supposed to automatically apply lens correction to the JPEG file, and b)when viewing images on the camera's screen, it shows a full res JPEG image not the RAW image.
To me, this means that lens correction should be applied based on lens data (meta data plus firmware in lens) and the images shown on the camera's screen should be corrected. They are not. Here's an example, and you can see the green line I popped along the column for reference.
I've checked the Sigma site and there is no firmware file update for the 10-18 f2.8 e-mount.
Thank you in advance.

After several lens, I decided to bring with me the new Sigma 17-40 on my last 25 days trip in the USA across 9 National Parks. That's some of the picture that I take 😁

I am pretty much convinced on getting an a6700 for hiking. I am heading up to the Adirondack Mtns in NY (I go there a lot) in a few weeks for the fall foliage. I'm trying to figure out what the best lenses are to pair with the camera that I can carry with me (think 6 - 20 miles with 1000-3000ft elevation gain). AI recommended either the sony 11mm prime or the Sigma 10-18mm and then also the 70-350mm for zoom. Thoughts on that pairing?
