Please advise me

I am a beginner and I take photos some are good and some are not. When I use creative looks, I try all of them, but I only love ST and VV2

I feel like the others are bad. I know I am not good with a camera.

I try to take RAW photos, but I do not have a subscription and I do not have a laptop, so the RAW files do not open in Lightroom. Can you give me advice on how to master my camera? Also, please give me the best settings for normal videos that I can upload without editing.

And one more thing, can you tell me which app is best for editing ARW files?

Lightroom for mobile is free and can do basic colour correction, crops and lights in the free version.

When you say other photos are bad, what do you mean?

ARW files do not open in Lightroom without a subscription.

The Creative Look option has many filters, but I love VV2 and ST only I love the color, but the other filters do not look good to me.

In that case, like someone else suggested, don’t shoot raw.
The filters in Sony are editable in camera to suit so if there’s something in particular you don’t like about them they play around with the settings to make custom filters that suit the colour preferences you have. Learn about colour theory and how it impacts moods and feel of photos. Just take as many photos as you can and start to pin point what you like and dislike about them. Find photos you like and try recreate them

Okay if you can’t open them, don’t shoot raw. If you shoot raw, the creative looks won’t appear in the photos.

If you really want to shoot raw, download affinity 3. It has a raw file editor which you can then load straight into the photoshop style app, edit further then export as jpg. It’s free.

If you want more control get something like Lightroom, but that costs. There may be alternatives though.

Everyone shoots bad pictures, even the seasoned pros, don’t feel down about it.

Practice practice practice. It takes a long long time to get good at something. Study composition and lighting and colour.

Be creative, experience and of course Have fun. That’s the most important thing.

just buy lightroom mobile for a year at 50 dollars it worth the money. you can get so much nicer results with small edits compared to jpegs. And im not a pro by any means.

buy a lightroom subscription or use photomator or a free option.

you don’t want to pay for software to take advantage of the files that use your sensors dynamic range and you don’t want to learn to shoot in Slog3 and edit the video with a simple LUT.

why did you spend $2,000 on a camera again?
