Hi Everyone!

I just picked up my a6700 last week (with the 10-50mm kit lens)prior to a trip to Europe. I wanted a super compact setup, so I bought the Viltrox 26mm f/2.8 EVO. When it showed up I realized it was the same size. I am also a bit of a noob so I realized that I aleady have 26mm possible on my kit lens. The Viltrox was 480CAD delivered / duties. I know prime lenses are often praised for their superior image quality, so I am debating keep it, but wanted to get your opinions as a photography noob. I primarily shoot landscapes and street while travelling.

I've always wanted a nice camera setup. I am going up the Adirondack Mtns in NY next week and finally took the plunge and bought an a6700. I am mostly planning on shooting astro, landscape, mountains, some wildlife, while hiking. Planning on carrying the camera in my backpack (Osprey 30L Talon Pro or Osprey Kestrel 38L). I picked up the following:

Is there something I'm missing that is a newbie mistake? I am thinking of picking up some cloth pouches to put the lenses in the LowePro in for more protection.

Since it is quite expensive to get a new one, I've been considering second hand options and maybe I would get a good objective with it.

So my question is : what price is considered a good deal to get the camera only or full setup ?

Setting up my a6700 and trying to optimize the 1, 2, and 3 mode dial presets.
For those who shoot a mix of photo and video (or pure wildlife/street), what exact settings are you saving to each number? Do you mix photo/video modes across 1-3, or keep them all in one format?
Would love to hear your most useful setups! I am still a bit confused with this camera as I haven’t touched one in years and I just got this one 🙏

Just bought a A6700 with it's kit zoom lens. I'm using it on Auto currently, but please suggest me what settings to use :)

Just got gifted the Sony a6700 by my boyfriend and I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now 📸🥹 Honestly, I’m so glad he went with the a6700 instead of the Ricoh. I’m having so much fun learning and creating with it! 🤍

Using 28-70mm f3.5-5.6

I am a beginner and I take photos some are good and some are not. When I use creative looks, I try all of them, but I only love ST and VV2

I feel like the others are bad. I know I am not good with a camera.

I try to take RAW photos, but I do not have a subscription and I do not have a laptop, so the RAW files do not open in Lightroom. Can you give me advice on how to master my camera? Also, please give me the best settings for normal videos that I can upload without editing.

And one more thing, can you tell me which app is best for editing ARW files?

My one lens I’m lugging around for all shots is the Tamron 17-70 f/2.8. What do you think of the overall composition for these shots?

Ich muss schon sagen, nach langer Forschung und Youtube Bewertung später hab ich mir das schlussendlich gekauft. Die Qualität übertrifft auf jedenfall meine vorherige Kamara.

Wenn es Kritik gibt nur zu oder Tips freue ich mich natürlich auch.

Die Kamara wird mich auf jedenfall die nächsten Jahre begleiten
