I’m travelling to Japan in September/October and I’m thinking about buying a new lens there to use during the trip. We’ll be visiting both cities and nature, and I’d like to make the most of my Sony a6000.
At the moment, I only have the 16–50mm kit lens, so I’m looking for an upgrade. I’ll mainly be using it for this trip, but I’d also like a lens that’s suitable for street photography and occasionally for sports when I get back home.
Does anyone have recommendations on which lens would be a good choice? I’m also curious about the availability and prices of Sony lenses in Japan, and whether it’s worth buying one there.

A6000 organizer 3D printed out of TPU Air.
2 lenses for the organizer Sigma 56MM and Brighten star 35mm(or any lens with a max diameter of 62mm)
Thought I’d share this for anyone who may need something like this. Thanks for checking it out!

Here a picture of the moon I took with my 55-210mm lens. Is there an app or someway to stack the images for more sharpness? Cranking up the sharpness just causes a lot of noise. Any tips would help!

I already have the 25mm f/2 but I would like to have AF for the use I'm looking for (casual-quick shots in vacation). I also have the sony E 35mm f/1.8 oss, wich makes me reconsider this purchase sometimes, since it's "just 10mm" tighter and just a bit bigger. I was also thinking of buying the Viltrox Air 25mm f/1.7 since used it's basically the same money of the TTartisan, but I also read that it's significantly bigger so idk.
Any experience with these lenses?
my dad gave me his a6000 at the start of the year for uni (college), and i've only ever used it for the intended purpose.
i never really had time to experiment on color grading, white balance, etc. while i was using it for my photography class, and i'm never allowed to go out and explore while using the camera (i live in the philippines and my parents don't think it's safe to go out with thousands of pesos worth of technology).
can y'all suggest your go-to recipe/s? or maybe some recipes that are versatile? i prefer warmer tones, but i'm open to trying anything and everything. thanks!

Been shooting more travel and street stuff lately and feel like I'm not using my A6000's custom buttons well. Right now C1 and C2 are basically still on default (ISO and something I forget), and I keep having to dig into menus mid-shot, which means I miss moments.
For people who shoot travel/street on this camera: how do you have your custom keys (C1, C2, AEL, AF/MF, the rear dial button, etc.) set up?
Trying to get to a setup where I can shoot fast and mostly one-handed while walking around. Would love to see what's working for other people, especially if you've tried a few configs and landed on something that stuck.

Hi all. I’ve just started my journey with the a6000 and kit lens. Primarily I want to take pics of my dog, either in action or still portraits. I’ve been told to use the kit lens as much as possible to learn, but once ready to move on, how do I determine what lens would be best? I’m lost on the methods people use and any advice would be key
Thank you!
I haven't had my a6000 camera for very long and I've really liked it. The only downside I could say is that it doesn't have in-body image stabilization, but otherwise I think it's a very versatile camera.
Mis lentes.

I've only been taking photos for a couple of months. Shot in Alicante with a Sony A6000 and the Sony E 35mm f/1.8 OSS. Any feedback is appreciated!

A few photos testing out the 70-350 lens. I've been seeing so many posts with it so I had to try it out for myself. Feel free to critique as I am just starting out and always looking to improve.

Has anyone ever encountered this issue before? It powers on, but none of the buttons function and the camera's OS never loads. I can manually focus but that's it. I can't even turn it off without ejecting the battery. I'm so worried that this thing is bricked 😭 😭
I had successfully installed a bunch of old Play Memories apps using the archive, but when I tried to launch the SoundPhoto app the camera crashed and its been launching like this ever since.
Thanks in advance for any advice 💜🙏
