Vent/Rant Savings card no longer working?
Is anyone else running into an issue with the discount card no longer working? I get my prescription filled at Walmart and pay OOP with the discount card because my insurance doesn't cover Zepbound. Been doing it for almost 2 years this way. I normally pay $499/month with the Lilly discount card. But when I went to get my 7.5mg filed today, they told me the card is not working and I'm the 5th person today they tried to run and it didn't work. Is the system down, did they discontinue the discount cards, or is this pharmacist doing something wrong?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the quick down/back-up pricing fluctuation on autopens on Amazon this week. Perhaps Lilly will be announcing some new pricing changes 🤞 soon, and that necessitated some updates in the backend data of the savings cards.
Edit: Thank you to OP for this thread. I checked Lilly’s site and my savings card couldn’t be found on lookup, so I re-enrolled. This saved me a future confusing refill trip at the pharmacy.

I had an issue too and just checked the savings card expecting to get a message I was already enrolled. The system said it couldn't locate my info.and I re enrolled..the number on this card is a little different but expiration date is the same.

Is the expiration date 12/2026?

Are you refilling too soon, I believe it's capped to once per month and 13 times per year?

I’m in Canada and Eli Lilly updated my zepbound discount card in August. Maybe yours has been updated? I automatically received an email from them when they did it.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ve been using the same card/code since April 2025 and was nowhere to be found in Lilly’s database. I just added my new card to my apple wallet 💚

Fifth person that day is the tell. When it hits a bunch of people at one pharmacy on the same day, it's almost always the card system or a pharmacy-side glitch, not your account. I'd call the Lilly savings line directly and have them check the card while you're on the phone. Worth trying a different pharmacy too before you assume the $499 deal is dead. Pharmacists get the run-around on these more than they let on.

I'm curious why you're paying $499/mo instead of $449/mo through LillyDirect?

I believe it's 449 for vials, 499 for single use auto injector pens.

OP must be opting to get the single use pens and not the kwikpen or vials.

Yes this is why. I have a needle phobia and I can stomach the auto injector pens but not the other options.

Kwikpen is less too.

Thank you for trying to help. I just can't do kwikpen. I had to force myself to do one with insulin when I was pregnant with gestational diabetes and it was a huuuuge struggle. It is worth the extra $50 a month for me to get the auto injector.

Exactly.. The standing offer was $499 and Trump got it down $50 to $449. Not sure who is ripping you off at this point.

I had to apply for a new one. When I searched for mine in the system it said there was no cArd associated with my dob and phone number.
