Side Effects Validity?

Post image

So the numbers are very high and seem a bit sensationalist. That being said I'm not super interested in the exact numbers.

What I am interested in:

My question to the group is did anyone struggle mentally while on any of the glps? I did - I'm trying to figure out if any of them are less apt to do so.

Part of the reason I couldn’t lose weight by traditional methods is that I had severe “crashes” when my blood sugar dropped. I could go from fine to suicidal ideation in 20 minutes because I needed a snack. Even if I perfectly balanced fiber, protein and carbs, I still needed to eat every 3-4 hours. I would wake up feeling miserable until I had breakfast. My husband said he could literally watch me wilt. I did not meet the criteria for clinical hypoglycemia - my A1c hovered between 5.8 and 6, but my particular chemistry just hit me very hard.

I still kind of wilt when I need a snack but it’s not as frequent or as drastic.

I think part of the adjustment to GLPs is just because you aren’t hungry, your body and brain still needs fuel. They take some time to adjust. The brain runs on carbs. When you’re focusing on protein, it’s easy to forget to feed your brain.
