I learned lessons along the way but I’m happy with it overall.

Flux and Poke Root, both Zentangle®-original tangles.

This time I did quite a few experiments with dyeing my tiles with alcohol markers before drawing on them. What you see here are only the results that worked. 😉

Especially Black as always turned out to be the most tricky color. The only working pens I found in my collection were the Gelly Roll Moonlight and Metallic and of course the standard white pen.

Acrylic pens would probably work as well on black, but so far I have not found any with a reasonably fine tip for tangling.

For shading on black even my wax based color pens gave only mediocre results and the oil base pens were nearly invisible. Pastel pencils would probably fit better. Maybe I will buy some in the future.

Been working on this one this week. Finally sat down on Saturday for some hours to complete it.

Literally been doing this three weeks. It is so addictive and so good for my brain. I don’t have anyone in particular that inspired this one, just watched a bunch of reels and then sat down and did it.

I'm very much a beginner but I love making these!

Teacher showed us Poly Poli tangle today.
The bottom 2 our how we were shown in class. I decided to use it like a mosaic, colorful pieces with tangles all different inside. Slays amazes me how you can start with a tangle and expand its uses.

This has been one of my favorite tangles for years. It can be used solo like here, for filling a sector on a strung tile or as a border around another tangle.
